This hotel is in an excellent position as it is on the edge of Gamla Stan (Old Town) and overlooks the water.Reception on arrival was excellent and during our stay were friendly and helpful. There is security with the lift as you need to use your door card ( small lift) to get to your floor level. The room we had was small, basic ( only bottles of water in bar fridge), and basic toiletries in bathroom. The bathroom had a shower over the bath and it worked well.Except for continual banging of doors from other guests, it was quiet, no excessive outside noise. The bedroom was small but clean, but had very little cupboard space so were living out of suitcases. There is one small window in the room with a small curtain that does nothing to stop the light coming in a bit of a problem as when we stayed it was getting light before 4.00am!
The hotel has a small gym that my wife was able to use, there is also an excellent bar and a reasonable restaurant. The buffet breakfast in the morning I thought was excellent - had cereals ( incl. 2 types of muesli), a range of cold meats and cheeses, and a limited variety of fruit, breads and a few pastries, coffee & juices. Hot items available were scrambled eggs, soft & hard boiled eggs, sausages baked beans, bacon & mushrooms - service was efficient.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here due to the hotel position and the friendly staff.
