We stayed for one night and needed something close to the train station.
This hotel is about a 5-6 minute walk.
Hotel main areas are nicely refurbished (reception area, lobby, hotel bar/restaurant/café etc) but the rooms, and especially the corridors (which are a little depressingly gloomy and non air conditioned) need some work.
However, we're not sure, but believe this might be in progress, as we still found traces in the hotel that the building used to host a "Rica Hotel" (the fire escape signs in the rooms were branded with the old hotels name..).
Breakfast was served in a lovely atrium, and contained a good, but not excellent, variety of bread, hot food, cold cuts & cheeses, yoghurts and fruit.
As for the room, it was OK. We weren't sure whether the air condition was broken or we just couldn't figure it out, so we just slept with an open balcony door instead - city noise doesn't really disturb us. Bed was on the softer side....
Considering the price we paid for the room, it was worth the money.
I would recommend anyone who's not extremely picky to stay at Scandic Klara.
Especially if staying in town for shopping for visiting the city center area.More
