If you are visiting Stockholm for work or pleasure, this hotel offers you the essential. Best of all it offers fresh and modern scandinavian guest rooms despite its plane facade. The hotel is within walking distance to the metro and interesting shopping district of the city. It is a lovely and easy walk to all the attractions such as the Old Town, the Royal Palace, National Gallery and the central station. No need for transport really.
The hotel offers a lovely breakfast in a room with an interesting aspect of the local area. The rooms are simpe and clean. The toiletries are basic and eco friendly. There is free WiFi. Tea and coffee facilities are in the room. There is a lovely reception area which offers more of the essentials if needed. The staff are friendly and helpful. I find this hotel hard to fault.

Very enjoyable stay. Breakfast is good. The location is just north of the center and everything is within walking distance.

Room Tip: overlooking the park is nice

I booked the Hotel Tegnerlunden through Europeandestinations.com and stayed in room 217. The room I was assigned was right beside the elevator, but I never heard it.
The room I had was very clean and was very nicely furnished. It had laminate hardwood flooring, one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on, high quality bed linens, two bedside tables, a stuffed chair, a desk and chair, and a small wardrobe. The bathroom was very nice--very basic but nice.

The staff was very helpful. The gentleman who checked us in gave us some excellent advice on places to see and places to eat. You can buy stamps and mail your postcards at the front desk. The staff was very helpful.
The breakfast room was bery nice, located on the top floor. The staff worked very hard in the breakfast rooms, and the breakfast bar was restocked rapidly. There were scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, soft boiled eggs, cereals, cold cut meats, cheeses, tomotatoes, breads and jellies on the breakfast bar. There was milk, skim milk, yogurt, and Swedish sour milk--what we call buttermilk in the USA. There was also coffee and tea, and orange juice and apple juice. The orange juice was really good.
The location is good. You are close to the metro station, the Central Train Station was a ten minute walk, the hotel is located at two blocks from Drottingham Street, a pedestrianized street with restautants and shopping. Gamla Stran was maybe 20 minutes on foot, or five by metro. I took advantage of the metro station being so close to the hotel.
If you are looking for a very nice hotel in a quiet location, but still close to everythin, you will not be disapointed. I will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If you get a room by the elevator, you will not hear it--I know, my bed was next to the elevator sha...

This hotel must have been a remodeled apartment building. One gets the feeling of living in someones old bedroom with a hallway outside. The room and bathroom are small and sparsely decorated. The bathroom and shower is actually minimal. However, the room was clean and the hotel is within walking distance of the central train station and the close to a metro station.

Few things to emphasis, The hotel is very clean and fresh, nicely located, very helpful staff, good breakfast, nice bathroom. The only missing item was a restaurant, but there are plenty around and the reception desk is particularly helpful with this item.

This hotel was located in a really nice part of Stockholm, right next to a park and a nice walk from restaurants and the centre of town. Our room was small but really nice with a wonderful view of the park. The bathroom was tiny and very average. The staff were very accomodating for our 10 month old, setting up a nice cot and storing our pram downstairs. Breakfast was simple but plentiful and in a bright top floor room. The only problem was that it did get very busy so best to get in early. Staff were great, would definately recommend this hotel. Average price but considering the high cost of rooms in Stockholm it was well priced.
