This hotel is a good value hotel. It is a 10 minute walk from the train station and close to the sights. It overlooks a small park. The breakfast is quite good with many options. This is no air-conditioner like most hotels in that part of the world, but a fan in the room kept it from getting stuffy. The room was only about 160 square feet, but sifficient. It was very clean and modern. Went in the middle of September.

This hotel is in a peaceful location, within walking distance of the railway station and most sights. It is clean, comfortable and the staff are friendly; the buffet breakfast is good.
There is a kettle in the room, and free Wi-Fi.
My only criticism is that the room - we had a corner room with lots of windows, so perhaps this is not representative - had very little space in which to put clothes. We were staying for several days, so it would have been nice not to have to live out of my suitcase.
But otherwise, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to other travellers.
There are several restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk.

I must say this is one of the best cost-friendly places that I stayed in while I was in europe. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom was very clean, friendly front desk staff who gladly locked up my belongings until my room was ready, so I could walk around the beautiful city. Free GREAT and nutritious breakfast, which also has a pretty view. Free , RELIABLE wifi(enough to skype/facetime the united states). This hotel also has a ziploc container sized ice bucket,so you can put ice in your drink. A good view of the park as well.

The hotel is situated close to the main town square, Stockholm Central station and Drottningatan , the shopping and dining area. So, there! You can get to almost any of the tourist attractions by just walking from there, being scenic and close. Hotel overlooks a park which overlooks a school, so you can just go and even sit in the park and watch the world go by!

We booked a double room, which was only a tad better than basic. The room of course was clean and had , coffee, tea , creamer and kettle as extra facilities. There was also a wardrobe and TV in the room, the channel choices were poor. Bathroom and shower area is decent sized. Breakfast is complimentary served on the 6th floor. A typical European fare - the usual beverages, bread, butter, cheese, jam, egg, muesli, cornflakes, sausage, ham, some basic muffins. So if you are a vegetarian, watch out, you will end up with just toast and beverages. They serve cut fruits like watermelon , pineapple, musk melon and the like. Pretty bad idea, since it doesn't taste half as good and attracts fruit flies. And fruits outside actually taste awesome all around Europe!

The staff is barely polite to the point of being curt at times. It's quite unenchanting when you are walking in with all the luggage! The gentlemen at e reception seeing struggling with the luggage while trying to open the hotel entrance door didn't so much as glance at us when we walked in, let alone helping us in. Made monosyllabic conversation when we were checking in and this after we have paid up for 2 days, online, in full! Zero marks for hospitality and politeness! While checking out, we wanted a small time extension as our ship was leaving post 3pm. The staff, while they did give us the extension, made us feel quite petty about it.

All in all, if you just want a place to crash out and not spend too much time or money travelling and still want something more than a 'no frills' place in a good location, then go for it. But do not expect any hospitality.

We were in stockholm a few days recently for business and found this hotel on trip advisor. It has good and comfortable rooms overlooking a small park. The interior is clean and modern, the breakfast buffet is on the 6th floor in a very sunny room. Very nice area, lots of good restaurants and coffee houses near by. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Recommended for travellers looking to stay in a quiet area and also to be close to the downtown core areas. Only negative was a slow wifi.

We stayed in this hotel for four nights and thought it was a good hotel. Especially the neighbourhood makes it a good choice.

It is well located, not too far from the centre, so you can walk there from the station. The hotel is modern and clean. The staff is friendly, but not outstanding in my opinion. The breakfast room was on the top floor and very light. Breakfast itself was tasty and there was plenty to choose from.

Our room was very clean and the beds were great. The bathroom was small though and the shower system was not good: after taking a shower the bathroom was flooded. There is no air conditioning, but you can open a window (although in the weekend you can then hear the noise from people in the street). And one peculiar thing: there is a drawer at the bottom of the closet, but I had no idea how to open it, so that was a bit useless.

Close to the hotel are some good bars and restaurants, so definitely worth walking around a bit in all directions.

Hotel Tengerlunden is a great Stockholm hotel, very ordinary building from the outside but rooms are spotlessly clean, very comfortable and beds of good quality. The hotel overlooks a small park/square and it is in an excellent location for all amenities. Its a 10 min uphill walk from the bus station (flybuss) and about 5 mins from Drottingaten where there are many bars and restaurants frequented by both locals and visitors. Drottingaten then leads down to the main tourist areas of Gamla Stan and Djurdesgarten. Breakfast was good, and the hotel was always very quiet and peaceful. Rooms are small, but by European standards probably average. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay and I would heartily recommend this hotel as good value for money in a very expensive city and would certainly return.

Room Tip: ask for a corner rooms, you get dual aspect and two doors with a view of the park and some very nice...
