“Small place, great service, good location”
Reviewed 28 September 2011

This hotel is quite small, located on the 4th and 5th floor of an office building. It has recently been renovated, making the rooms and common areas look quite nice. Rooms are somewhat small, but very clean and well-kept. The bathroom layout is certainly a bit unusual (toilet to the left, shower to the right), as some other reviewers have already commented on. Rooms facing the street (St:Eriksgatan) might be a bit noisy.

Great location, just next to the Fridhemsplan subway stop with access to two major lines. Lots of restaurants, bars, shopping malls, supermarkets around.

The staff is extremely helpful.

This hotel has been renovated recently but the pictures posted as representation of the room is not the room that we received. Booking a junior suite, we thought there would be enough room to swing a cat....I WAS WRONG!
The rooms are very small and very expensive. The bathroom had no door, but we had a sauna we didnt use.
The staff were nice, the breakfast had variety and the rooms were clean and tidy.
I wouldnt recommend this hotel as it isnt good value for money, and i probably wouldnt stay again.

Let me start by saying, this hotel looked great on the internet and the reviews on Trip Advisor were also great. I was very disappointed when I stayed here. I booked a Junior Suite which cost me $700AUD for 3 nights (not cheap). The pics of the suite online looked great and spacious, which is what I wanted. This room was not a junior suite!!! It was so small, I couldn't swing a cat in this room!!! There was no mini fridge, no seating area like it read on the internet and there was not even a door to the bathroom. I was travelling with a girl friend so with no door on the bathroom, it made for a very interesting stay...not the stay I was looking for. When I asked the guy at the front desk if this was really a 'junior suite', he said well you did book a 'junior' suite, so that's what you get. Not helpful or friendly at all, which is strange because I found the Swedish to very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was ok, the food was fresh enough and the variety was pretty good too. But I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. I can't believe they can call that room a junior suite...there was nothing 'suite' about this room!!! Very disappointing.

Room Tip: Do not pay for a 'junior suite', it's definitely not a suite!!!

Adequate and good for the price. Right next to underground station (not that you noticed for noise etc) and an easy walk to the lake side. One nuisance was internet / wifi didnt work so it was off to the nearby macdonalds for that.

Perhaps the other folks who rated this place high were luckier... but it was one of the worst stays I've ever had. For starters, we were sort of cheated on check-in and given the room that was very different from those on photos — lousy, ramshackle and incredibly small. There was no cable Internet as well. The local Wi-Fi network didn't work on my Mac so I had to spend extra money for a SIM card. Breakfasts were horrible also, we ate there once and never came back. To conclude — all this kind of stuff should cost twice less. And stop cheating people!

I chose the Aldoria based on price, location by a T station and air conditioning. I was looking for a clean, safe, quiet budget hotel and that's what I got.

Location--30 minute walk to the tourist attractions. Next door to a T-station with 2 lines (Drottingham, Central and Gamla Stan), bus line 3 to City Hall, grocery, lower priced restaurants than in the center.

Hotel room as in photo on website. Single was small room with twin bed, sofa, desk, chair, small table, small TV, rack for clothes, small frig, and lots of lights and outlets. Full length mirror faced the sofa so unusable. Curtains too thin and narrow to keep out the midnight sun. Brand new large walk-in shower and small toilet-sink room built as addition-entry to room was spotless. Door between these and bedroom. Air conditioning was minimal, but better than nothing. Had room over courtyard rather than street which also allowed opening window without noise.

Rooms on two floors of the building. 5-person elevator. You get a key to the front door and one to the hall and room. Limited desk hours. Daily linens and cleaning. Very basic continental breakfast in small dining room.

Pleasant staff.

I was glad to find a clean budget (for Stockholm) hotel. It is not suitable if you want to be in the center of the tourist activities or on the water. It is great if you are using the T, the airport bus (near St Eriksplan), and want access to a grocery and other neighborhood shops.
