Well I was happy that finally I get to the Käknas television tower. Well, I parked car to the parking lot where you need pay a payment. That's fine. But automat accept only credit cards...why?
Why not coins like other Stockholm park automats accept... so couldn't pay. But going up anyway, that's Stockholm city's lost that they didn't get any money... everybody doesn't have credit card, or even if have, doesn't want use it that kind machines which looks suspicious (cause these days even Finland bad guys assemble card copy tools to all kind automats).
Then up to the tower...there was security reasons of course steel net that no one can drop or can't throw anything down. But there was also small "holes" where you can take pictures By camera, but suprise... all those were locked...SO NO PHOTOS!
Then I was going one floor down, where is the cafe/bar... Windows were dirty and there was
reflections so NO PHOTOS. One level lower where is the restaurant... same problem.
Just wonder why those "holes" were closed??? They don't want that tourists get nice shots?
Or they wish that no one comes there anymore?
Can't recommed that Place to anyone at all!!!
Go to the Globen... there you can go up and see over the Stockholm. Nice views!!!

“Fabulous view”
Reviewed 3 May 2014 via mobile

We walked to the tower (lovely walk along the water and then through green parkland) but you can get bus 69.

I thought the view was worth the entrance fee of circa Gbp 5. You can hold your camera through the holes in the cage to get some great photos. You see more of the archipelago from this position then say Gondalen wine bar.

The gift shop is slightly more expensive than the ones in Gamla Stan.

We are in the restaurant which was great.

“This used to be a really hot spot to visit”
Reviewed 5 January 2014

In the past, before there were lots of other ways to view the city from above, this was a very nice spot to visit as a tourist or even as a person living in Stockholm. Nowadays there are so many other options, that it seems a waste of money and time to go especially to Kaknastornet to check out the view of Stockholm.

“Better come here on a summer day”
Reviewed 17 November 2013

Ended up coming here late afternoon as most other museums/attractions have already closed. Entrance fee was 50SEK which is relatively cheap compared to other attractions. It is a shame that I visited in autumn – a time when Sweden starts to get cold and daylight hours are short. It gets very cold and windy at the observation deck, and I could hardly recognise places in Stockholm city in the dark. This place is about 10-15 minutes by bus (69/69K) from the centre. I was lucky to catch the bus at the right time; however, bus services are infrequent during weekends, and I heard a fellow traveller complaining about the lack of signs from the bus-stop to the tower. This is not the most popular attraction in Stockholm. I would recommend visiting here if you are intending to dine at the restaurant, or during a (summer) day when there is plenty of daylight!

“Nice views of the city”
Reviewed 27 October 2013

For 50kr you can go to the lower observation deck, from there you can take the stairs to the upper observation deck, up here you get 360 degree views of the city, unfortunately the upper desk is surrounded by a cage so photo's will contain a ugly fence. There is also a cafe at the top but I didn't try the food.
