“My favourite area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 January 2013

I really liked this area. It felt very familiar to me like most cities in England such as London, Leeds, Manchester.. There's a street that runs through the centre called Drottninggatan which leads you to Sergels Torg and there are about five H&M's, an Indiska, Helly Hansen, MTWTFSS Weekday, Zara, Vero Moda, Clas Ohlson and other nice shops. There are a few tourist shops as you get further toward Gamla Stan.

With all the christmas decorations still up it was so lovely to walk through when it turned dark.

The hotel we stayed at was also in Norrmalm and the street was very nice, quiet and the other streets around it too. It's a pleasant area to be in. I've heard that Sodermalm is the hip area of Stockholm but I much preferred Norrmalm - for shoping at least!

“The City of Stockholm”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 January 2013

This is what's called CBD in Australia, that is the central business district. You don't live here (unless you have found a flat in one of the new roof top additions), you shop here and go out dining or taking a show. It's not very impressive as cities go especially considering that a large part was torn down as late as the 70's to create new dull architecture. The northern part is older in character and nice in parts.

“Nothing special really”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 September 2012

This is just a part of Stockholm that doens't hold any special apeal to itself. There are places there worth visiting though.
