“Cool region in Stockholm”

Best place to stay in Stockholm or a day visit. Nice neighborhood with lots of cool cafes, local stores and bars. Good for trend research and people watching.

“Jazzy, yay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 October 2013

Jazzy is a bit naff. It's more boho and vintage. And, the best part of Stockholm by a country mile. Stroll around the main streets of Gotgatan and Nytorgatan and all the connecting streets in between and you'll be guaranteed to find great bars, cafes and independent shops.

As well as places like Urban Deli, also go to a cafe called Magnolia near Slussen tube station. Art gallery, bar and restaurant rolled into one.

hyped up place because of the Millenium Trilogy.
although stockholm has a low crime rate, being around this area alone at dusk made me feel unsafe

“quieter part of Stockholm”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 October 2013

If you get tired of crowded touristy areas of Stockholm head to Sodermalm. The area is just across the Gamla Stan (Old Town) but not many tourists go there. Lots of lovely, leafy places i.e. Mosebacke torg. You need to go Fjalgatten street for great views across the town. The street above it has old fashioned Scandinavian cottages which give this place great vibe.
Apparently you can do Millenium walk/tour if you are a fan.

“The locals' choice, trendy Södermalm”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 October 2013

Offers great views of the city, and some authentic nightlife experiences and bars. There are also many areas, including a viewing platform to see the whole of Stockholm from. Fun fact: it was also where the Swedish 'Girl with a Dragon Tattoo' was set. I've heard it mentioned as the Brooklyn of Stockholm.
