“Interesting part of Stockholm”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 November 2013

When I lived in Stockholm in the mid-1970s, I enjoyed walking in Södermalm. There were great views of the city, especially from Fjällgatan. I found the City Museum very interesting. I didn't think of the area as being of much interest to tourists, but it seems that Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy has changed that. I still enjoy walking in Södermalm, and go there whenever I visit Stockholm.

“went for theatre and silk museum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 November 2013

We got a little lost and found Katerina lift which allowed good views over the harbour. We visited Gota Lejon theatre twice (main reason for visiting Stockholm) but didn't explore very much beyond the silk museum. Too much drunkenness on streets for me on Fri and Sat night.

“Very nice place to walk in the Fall”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 October 2013

Had a great walk around most of the Södermalm island (big island south of Gamla Stan, the old city) which took several hours.
Was on a beautiful clear autumn day.
Lots of folks strolling around, kids, dogs, etc.
Very nice foliage and views on the periphery of the island (beaches, parks, port/pier).
This time of the year lots of locals are moving their boats to the shore which is another spectacle one can enjoy.
Even saw a 60-70 year old woman (local?) take a 15 minute swim...I wouldn't necessarily recommend that.

Overall a wonderful way to spend half a day in Stockholm.

“Good Shopping.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 October 2013

Probably the best area in Stockholm to shop certainly the cheapest it also gives you a flavor of how the locals live nice restaurants and some lovely walkways keep your eyes open for the cemetery and the parks found it very different and you can see most of the city views from the parks.
