The hotel is a great deal considering how expensive Stockholm is. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Great things about the hotel: breakfast and two codes for Wifi per room are included in the fee, and there's a swimming pool in the terrace too! The location is quite convenient and if you don't mind walking, you could even reach every tourist attractions without paying a cent on public transportation.

Not so good characteristics of the Vanadis Hotell: the bedroom and the common bath and shower room were not clean (dust on the night table and every shelf in the bedroom), boogers on the wall, dark marks on WC basins and it seems as if they don't mind too much about ventilation... On the bright side, the bedsheets were fresh clean.

To round up: I recommend the Vanadis Hotell for people travelling on a budget and with no great expectations for cleanliness.

So the taxi dropped us outside a building site, which was our hotel. Awful small rooms, no windows (great for jail theme) dirty bathrooms, the worst breakfast ever (bread and butter) legit! it is in the middle of nothing, I literally could not wait to leave. ps I felt dirty after a shower! HOWEVER staff are lovely!

Room Tip: don't book it.

Vanadis hotell is an affordable and a nice hotel in Stockholm. Though there was no window, the room was clean and had things that a person would need. People at reception are friendly and helpful. The toilets and showers were clean. So, if u are low on a budget but would like to enjoy Stockholm, i would definitely recommend this place. In addition, they are renovating swimming pool. So, probably in a month, the hotel will perhaps be a chilling place to be.

But if you are planning to go now, because of renovations, the rooms will be noisy. The breakfast they service is simple and nice but can become boring after two days as the variety is less.

Stockholm is super expensive so finding a budget hotel is a real challenge. Vanadis is a good choice, its rates are reasonable and you get what you pay for. The rooms are simple but clean, the shared bathrooms are restrooms are cleaned regularly, the staff is super friendly and able to help with things (i.e. keep things in the fridge for you), breakfast is OK and it open later at weekends. Location is very nice, it's in the middle of the park and underground is just 5min away. There are also supermarkets for food within 2min of walk. The hotel is just a little dated, some tooms don't have a window (apparently quite common in Nordic countries), walls are a bit thin but in our experience guests were considerate so no troubles sleeping at night.

Room Tip: Room without a window is much cheaper, even though it sounds weird, for a weekend trip it's feas...

After a tiring flight from Barcelona during the winter break, me and my Chinese friend, Han Jiaxu arrived in Stockholm on a midnight. There was limited bus going to the city center from Skavsta Airport. As students of Erasmus Mundus, we could only afford the budget airline, RyanAir.

Our weary feeling and tired muscles were relieved when we arrived at Vanadis Hotel. Although still very far from the center (take a train from the center to this station), the hotel gave us a warm feeling from zero-degree weather outside. The water at the bath was warm and nice and after we have our shower, smiles immediately came out from our faces.

The service was straightforward. There were no extra ushers to guide you where is the toilet or the pantry or the mess hall. But the receptionists were very helpful and always available outside in the front desk. They have maps for tourists and how to get from one place to another. The food served in the morning were enough to keep you going for the whole day. They are light and energy-filled to fight the rumbling snow and freezing weather outside. It's included in the accommodation package although (I am not sure), you can always request for their exclusion.

Except for the distance from the center and most places of activities, the hotel is considerably neat, warm and most importantly, affordable. And although the rooms are quite lacking in space, by considering the price, it was enough for both of us. The beds are warm and although cramped with fewer than 2 feet of space separating us, the hotel is good enough to relax at the end of another day's adventure in this beautiful city of Stockholm. There is enough space to work on your computer and upload all those pictures and the designs on the wall were pleasant to the eyes of a total stranger to Sweden, like us.

It was worth the trip ... And we both enjoyed the place. It was warm ...

Room Tip: Choose a room space that's enough for the number of travelers. A very big room is not appropriat...

This is a very small property 5mins walk from subway station Radmansgattan. Rooms are so small that you can't turn around or stretch your hands. If you are claustrophobic then don't opt for this place. Same way don't pay extra for a window room as the window will be high near the ceiling you won't be able to see the street. Rooms and toilets are clean. A good place for back packers but not for family. Breakfast they provide is horrible. The front desk staff are rude. Don't expect hospitality. Stay, enjoy the city and leave. A Thai restaurant is nearby on the way to metro which serves good food and you have a Hard Rock Cafe opposite metro subway. Overall a good property for backpackers and students who are on budget trip. Not for ones who expect luxury.
