Really nice, trendy, hotel in stockholm. Had a great stay.

Good rooms, well maintained, plenty of room. Like the dvd player and all the movies on offer.
Comfortable beds, pillow menu to choose from. Modern and cool without being pretentious.

Great service they were always happy to help.

Make sure you get B'fast included in your room rate. The breakfast buffet is divine! If there isn't enough in the buffet, also included you can have the chef cook you something else! One of the best hotel breakfasts we've come across to be honest.

Great location. 10 mins walk to the old town. Plenty right around it. A subway station very close by.

Wonderful stay. Very good value for money.

The hotel is in a great location, a couple of minutes from an underground station and only 10 mins walk from the old town. There is a supermarket across the square and a 'system bolaget' liquor store about 5 mins walk away.
The hotel is modern and funky without being pretentious. We had a good sized room with a balcony, with everything you would expect. The breakfast is worth doing despite the price as it's fabulous with a great choice. The DVD library is a master stroke! On the fourth floor is team and coffee on tap for residents, and a couple of computers where you can print boarding passes etc. the wifi is fast enough to stream music and is free. The staff and friendly and helpful and I would recommend it.
If I was being really picky the bed was a bit soft, but that's just a personal preference thing.

Great location , in heart of cool Södermalm, next to all small, trendy restaurants, cafes and shops. T-bahn stop, underground, only few minutes walk away. Room was spacious, quoet to sleep, bed was amazingly good. Very trendy, chic design all over the hotel. So good breakfast: fruits, ham, cheese, vegetables, bread, cereal, sweets etc but also pancakes, french toast, eggs and special coffees. Also huge dvd-collection to borrow. They also have popular bar/cocktail lounge. Loved our 2 night stay. Recomended!

Stylish, modern, good service and well equipped. We stayed in room 410 which is on the floor with the coffee machine. The room is spacious, the amenities are great and the view was nice back over Swedish apartments and a church spire.

Location of the hotel is convenient with Mariatorget subway a couple of minutes away. The cooler parts of södermalm are a bit further away but it's easy to get around.

Buffet on a Sunday afternoon is well attended and pretty nice food. The crowd are quite cool and the refurbishment of the hotel (and the famous owner) makes it seem like the Standard and it's bar (although the view isn't there in the Rival).

I'd stay here again.

Stayed in the Hotel Rival for a long weekend in Stockholm in Winter. It was competitively priced, but looked a little different from the other options available, and I'm certainly pleased that I booked it.

The location it good. There are better places to be, as this corner of Sodermalm can feel a little bit tucked away, but there is a Metro station just around the corner, and Gamla Stan is only a 15 minute walk away.

The rooms are great. They are quite small, but everything is thoughtfully laid out, so we never felt cramped. The facilities are fantastic, with a well installed HD Smart TV, and Blu-ray player as standard. Didn't think we would use it much, but the DVD library is great if you're looking for a quiet evening to recover from sightseeing.

Service was brilliant throughout. Helpful but unobtrusive. And the breakfast, what a breakfast. Great buffet, and the option to order a cooked breakfast if desired. I didn't consider it once, as the selection of sweet and savoury options was exceptional. And they had breakfast macaroons. MACAROONS!!!

Expensive at first sight but not by Stockholm's standards.

Pillow menu, coffee / tea area, good breakfast (excellent rye bread).

Helpful, welcoming staff.

Location not far from bars and restaurants, only a ten minute walk from Gamla Stan.

Very conveniently located for people that visit Stockholm on business or leisure. Gamla Stan is only 15min walk from the hotel.

The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. They can advise on nice restaurants, things to do and see while in Stockholm.

The room is of decent size with large bed, a huge TV and a limitless selection of DVDs (old and new movies).
