If you would like a terrific meal, excellent service at a very good price (for Stockholm, that is), look no further than to restaurant Krasnapolski. The location is central, but in one of the more quiet streets.
The service here is excellent with attentive and kind waiters/waitresses. There is a ground floor (with some tables in the window) and a floor downstairs. There is some music playing in the background at exactly the right level, creating a cosy ambiance and having a conversation is no problem.
The food is aimed towards the polish cuisine, which means an emphasis on pierogi (stuffed dumplings) and meat dishes. We ate the "Rådjursytterfile" (Steak of deer) with cheddar baked potatoes and it just melted in the mouth! And it was a generous portion too.
Other kinds of meat on offer is veal, lamb, duck and pork. The pork schnitzel is also an excellent choice. The only fish on offer was oven-baked trout and as far as I could tell, it looked like a safe bet to order. There are also a few choices for vegetarians.
For dessert we had "Drottning Marias maräng" which is meringue filled with raspberries, vanilla-cream and sweet almonds. This is to die for and is probably addictive, that's how good it is.
All in all, this is a restaurant you will love and return to if you go there. I even hesitate to recommend it because I don't want it to be TOO popular ;D.
