We were looking for a place to have dinner and we stopped by this restaurant because we were attracted by the name and the menu, and most importantly, by the horse cart we could see through the window, were a couple was having dinner!
The menu selection is perfect, mostly central-Italian dishes, inspired by culinary tradition from Maremma. The restaurant name is also from the typical cowboy from Maremma (Buttero).
We were expecting the usual Italian cooking adapted to the nordic taste... We were positively surprised to find original Italian style dishes, well-cooked and presented.
We tried a couple of starters: porchetta served on bruschetta and polenta on wild boar ragout. They are small in size but exceptionally tasty!
Pasta was perfectly cooked and not excessively spicy, as some Italian restaurants use in Stockholm: home-made cannelloni stuffed with meat and porcini fondue, casarecce alla norcina (sausages, cream and truffle flavor)
A selection of "cicchetti" (shots) are on the menu to conclude the dinner!
