I stayed at this hotel for 2 days and it was a nice experience. The hotel room was cool. They light theme going on there. Decorated the hotel and the rooms very nice and very modern.

It is right in the city centre of Stockholm. I would recommend this hotel for couples doing romantic weekends in Stockholm. Because it does make you relax.

Breakfast was included and was okay but not wow-wee.

I would definitely return to this hotel and would recommend it to others.

Pretty well located near Central Station. Good looking reception/bar area. Staff very friendly and welcoming. A little cold (in atmosphere) in reception, too clinical. Rooms okay, offering lights that change colour, a bit gimmicky but different. Wardrobe space for about 5 things, we were there 3 nights so a little short. safe was badly located low down and near end of bed, hard to operate and not like most hotels where a single code is used, this one you needed to set every time, strange ! Limited TV choices, no MTV if that's your thing, and no iPod dock, not good for such a "modern and hip" establishment. Don't take a book, no chance in that light. Bathroom small but well appointed. Housekeeping distinctly average. Breakfast was excellent, although not being a camel I could not eat heaps and avoid Swedish prices later. Did not use the bar, and neither did anyone else looking at it, why? Ridiculously priced. I was well aware of Swedish prices but hotel was adding another 20%. Would happily have had night cap but not when I could go to bar across the road for half the price.
It is a good hotel, unfortunately not as good as it thinks it is.

Room Tip: Probably all similar, take a torch.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights and enjoyed a 20% discount, making the hotel a little bit more affordable. Since Stockholm hotels are very expensive and the price difference for a less-good located or a lower-class one isn't that big, we decided to go for the Nordic Light and are happy with our choice. The hotel is located next to the bus and train station (Arlanda Express and other trains) and you can walk to Gamla Stan (Old Town) in about 10 minutes. We never really had to use public transport being so centrally located.
The front desk staff was very kind and efficient, we were checked-in in a few seconds. The room was quite big for nordic standards and very clean. You can set the light color (blue-green-red-yellow, etc.) as you wish inside the room which was a nice touch. The bathroom was quite small but had both tub and separate shower.
The lobby is very nice and breakfast (included and very good) is served next to it. The bar has an impressive selection of red wines from Napa. Very good but a bit expensive (100 SEK minimum for a glass).
All in all a very positive experience and we would visit again. It's not really value for money (1500 SEK per night thanks to the 20% discount mentioned above) but it's one of the cheaper options for a 4 star hotel in central Stockholm.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with view on Vasagatan (main road)

Nordic Lipstick
Is a hotel (for me) in categorie 3+, and is a modern design hotel, stands out like a standard ok hotel with desent rooms and the breakfast is okay. My job has a deal with the hotel and I use it primarily because it is right next to Central Station and has a friendly staff.
What is special about the hotel? Well has a rather funky lobby, with music, a fine bar and change the design as part of the experience.

We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. The room was spacious as we took the executive room with a nice view over the city. The quality of food was very good for the breakfast and also at the restaurant.

The lobby is very hip and trendy with lights to create a very smart and fashionable atmosphere.

The location was also a good point of the hotel as it's close to the T-centralen and Arlanda Express so it makes it perfect for business trip.

On the negative side, there is no spa. The room allocated for massage and sport is underground and in a separate building which was a big turn off. They really should invest on that a bit more as it was a bit of a let down compared to the standard.

The location is close to the central station, and if you're taking the Arlanda Express from the airport it's right outside that station. There are two money machines within a block. Hotel inside is chic, but not upscale chic. Bathroom had a bit of mold, and I found a couple of hairs on the floor and bed spread. The breakfast buffet was exceptional. Given the general high prices in Stockholm I'd say this was a decent value with the off-season rate I got. The latter part of my trip, the rates were higher so we'd booked a different place. We stayed in Gamla Stan in an apartment. The rate was higher but for 4 of us the individual price was cheaper. If I was staying in Stockholm again with myself or one guest, I'd look at the Nordic Light again. If I was staying with 3+ people, I'd look for an apartment again.

This is a pretty well located hotel (though not the very best), with a cool lobby and bar.

However:
-the rooms are tiny and "functional", ie, nothing as "design" as expected (except if 2 lights in the shape of hearts suffice for you).
-the restaurant is always empty and ... for a good reason... we tried eating there and it was not good & very pricey

If you were planning on staying here, go for drinks instead, they have a DJ on Fridays !
