“Strategic location. Cheap in price and quality . Quite.”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

I stayed three nights at this place. First of all its located across the street from gamla stan . and right across from a bus station. 5 min away walk from metro station.
This hostel is quite and clean. Breakfast is very generous and diverse . rooms are fairly big for a ship. We stayed on the top floor right next to the lobby . bathrooms are just ok ..
We had a little incident there . we paid for a sum that could be a double room with (closed) window or double room with no window. One morning shift staff was very mean and refused to change the room even thou I told him I was in my honey moon . on the night shift I told the Swedish guy about this big inconvenience he was very nice and generous , he moved us to the upper deck , open window room for the same price we paid.

Highly recommend this hostel for its location.

Room Tip: check If you have paid for a room with window or no window

I stayed at this hostel for three nights. I booked it after the shock of Stockholm hotel rates set in. The staff was OK, no problems with them. The room was small and simple, not filthy, but not sparkling, either. The bathroom was OK, with shower, sink and toilet sharing the same open space. The location is great. I didn't have breakfast at the hostel, so I can't opine about it, but the bakery across the street was great for a coffee and simple breakfast.

The receptionist was very bored and cold, he didn't told us if we can visit the boat, where can we take the breakfast if we wnt to and everything. Something like just take your key and leave me alone. The room we had was a twin room and it was nice, small, but confortable if you are not very pretentious. The WiFi is free, but we had no signal in the room. We didn't had time to spend in the room anyway because the city offers you too much things to visit. The good thing is that the hotel is near the Old City, Palace, Nobel Museum (5 minutes walking), and for that location and think it had a good price.

Room Tip: take a room with a view to the water, not to the city, and choose one with a window

Now's your chance to sleep inside a real boat hostel!
It's cheap, and it looks cheap too, but it has its charm.
The room you get is very tiny, but remember, this is a boat.
If you want to be social, the lobby is for you.
The bed and pillow in my room was a bit too hard for me (well, for anyone), so this should be fixed.
Nobody likes to develop back problems!
The showers and toilets are okay, better than expected.
The hostel is very close to everything, so this is the best money can buy if you want to live cheap and central!

We stayed in this hostel for four nights. The first one was a little exhausting because we booked a room without a window in which we could hear very clearly the annoyingly loud, drunk neighbours when they came home. Since this is not the hostel's fault, we're not taking that into account. The other three nights however were without any complaints. When we extended our stay for one more night we got an upgrade into another room with a window without even asking.

I had to leave the previous hostel I had booked because of the horrible conditions and got a cabin here. At 45.00€ a night on showing up and no previous booking, it is a bargain by Stockholm standards. The cabin sleeps 2 and has a toilet and shower. Quite on the small side but very practical (as are all ships accomodations), the boat is conveniently situated a couple of minutes walk from the Royal Palace and the platforms to the shuttle boats that criss-cross the whole city and further destinations such as Birka and Drottningholm. Breakfast (buffet) seems expensive at 9.00€ but it's actually a great deal.

This is an old ship which has rooms with bath. The rooms are quite small but the location is very convenient at a good price considering the location. Our family including parents, almost 3 year old twins and grandparents stayed for a weekend. There is a common room with TV and tables where we were able to watch the World Cup matches in the evening. The rooms are small and the one with 4 beds had no windows, but it was easier to get the twins asleep because it was dark. It is not plush accommodation, but quite adequate. The hotel had wifi in the common room. More expensive rooms have windows, but are still very small. However, I have stayed in more expensive places in Europe where the rooms were just as small.
