Housing the noble museum, many roadside eateries, souvenir shops, this main square of the Old Town is a good place to hang around and take pictures.

Beautiful18th (and possiblye18th?) century buildings. Lots of cafes, restaurants, and places to get snack food - lots of ice cream shops. Since all the streets are cabblestone in the area, wear sturdy shoes.

Wandering around the island that includes the Old Town is a definite must. The streets are quaint and beautiful and the shops are interesting and diverse. Highly recommend.

Very charming and colorful area, beautiful architecture. It is a feel good step into the past. The square is surrounded with small restaurant, bars, the Nobel museum is in the area, very lovely walk.

Lovely cafe places to sit and watch people. In the middle of Gamla Stan, hard to miss. A. It touristy ... but even so, well worth the quick walk (especially if you are going to visit the Royal Castle).
