What a charming little hotel in the *center* of Gamla Stan! The hotel dates from the 1600s and we really felt that as we climbed the tiny, winding staircase to our 3rd floor room and ducked to enter the oh-so-compact bathroom. If you like charm and don’t have accessibility concerns, this could be a great fit!
The service was personalized and thoughtful, but this is not a full scale hotel with a 24-hour front desk. The breakfast was simple, but delicious and included plenty of quality choices (baked goods, cereal, fruit, made-to-order hot chocolate). They even prepared a breakfast to go (including the delicious croissants) for a very early departure on our final morning. WiFi connection was decent.More
