Perfect hotel!

The people are both helpful and friendly; the room was gorgeous; the hotel is close to everything, and they even have ample parking! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We also had an excellent dinner at the hotel restaurant.

We arrived in the morning and our room was not ready which was expected. We checked in, and our luggage was nicely stored.

The hotel does have a good location close to Old Town and walking distance to the Vasa.

When we returned after 3:00, we got in line to pick up our key. The lines were LONG and slow moving. When we got close enough to see the check in desk, it was incredible how SLOWLY the staff moved. I have never seen clerks stare at the computer screen and click around with the mouse so long. How long does it take to check a reservation?

Finally, a manager came along the line. When he heard that we were already checked in and just needed our keys, he took care of that in minutes.

We had reservations for a king sized bed. The room bed was perhaps a small queen. We have a queen at home and had just been on one on our cruise, and this was definitely smaller! More of a double bed.

Because of the long lines downstairs, we did not try to request a change.

Moreover, the bed was so soft or worn out that we continuously fell towards each other. There is NO top sheet! So you had to either have the duvet over you (too hot) or have no covering (too cold) We neither got much sleep that night

Certainly not what one would expect from this level of hotel. If we were booked there more than one night, we would have had to change hotels to get any rest.

We did appreciate the 2 bottle of free water in the room.

Dear Pittsburgh_PaPam,

Thank you for your time and comments here on TripAdvisor. It is so important for us to receive feedback on how our guests experience us. Your concerns have been noted and I apologize for the inconveniences caused by the beds, which you found uncomfortable. We are addressing the issue immediately and the entire sleep experience is up for discussions.

This summer has been fantastic with many guest coming in from all over the World and from time to time there has been many guests in the lobby waiting to be served at the same time. I am sorry to hear that you experienced our guest service agents as being slow, and I have brought this to the attention of the front office team.

I can assure you that our intentions are always to create a good stay, and judging from your feedback I can see that the mission failed from our side. Should you decide to give us a second chance we would be delighted to create a much better experience for you. If there is anything else you would like to share with us - please do not hesitate to do so.

Yours Sincerely

Everything about this hotel is for me: the location, the room and all the amenities and the buffet breakfast satisfies the non-Scandinavian traveler with items they enjoy. The location is perfect for one who wants to stroll around the city.

If you are going to Stockholm as a tourist this hotel is one the best choice in Stockholm.

You can find hotel very easily if you came with Arlanda Express to the city. Hotel is located between central train station and Gamla Stan so we can walk nearly all touristic attractions from hotel easily because of it's location.

I think rooms are large enough to spend time in room and also in a very good condition. Beds are very comfortable and sound isolation is very successful. Rooms are very clean as expected from this brand. Minibar & complementary drinks are enough. Staff are very helpful and they are very professional.

I think that breakfast is expensive if you compare it to other hotels or cafes in Stockholm. So we did not have breakfast in hotel. There is a small local cafe in the lobby so you can coffee and food from there.

We arrived at the Sheraton Stockholm at 10 AM after a terrible travel ordeal. We were caught up in the JFK panic and our flight was delayed and my spouse had her hand injured. We were exhausted. We were able to check into our room right away and get some much needed sleep. The staff was very caring and empathetic concerning my spouse's injury. They let us know where to find the nearest apotek (pharmacy).

Breakfast buffet was great as was the hotel restaurant. Location is ideal. You can walk to the Glama Stan, boat tours and great shopping and restaurants. Also, you can take the Arlanda express train from the airport to central station which is very close to the hotel (you can see the hotel from one of the exits of the station).

I highly recommend this hotel. A+++++

Dear Richard H,

Thank you for taking the time to post your energizing review here on TripAdvisor. Thank you for your nice words about our hotel.

Our convenient location in the city center makes it easy to reach most parts of the city. The Old Town is very popular, and probably one of Stockholm´s most visited attractions.

Hurting yourself is never fun, especially when you are out traveling. I do hope your spouse is doing better now and that the hand is healing. All the best to her from us! I am so glad we could be of assistance and that our care and love helped the situation a bit.

I believe that your great post speaks for itself. It was a delight having you here with us and a delight for me and the team to wishing you welcome back.

Your sincerely,
Lars van der Most

The Sheraton is conveniently situated in the centre of Stockholm. Although the road outside the hotel is busy, it did not affect our stay.
The rooms are well appointed ( shower and bath, tea and coffee making facilities etc) and the bed was very comfortable.
The breakfast buffet ( hot and cold dishes, fruit and pastries) was very good and items were replenished regularly. We followed the advice displayed in the foyer and avoided having breakfast at peak times. Service was very good.
