“Relaxing stay in historic Mill on Salmon river”
Reviewed 13 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Beautiful, serene, quiet,
Paradise for nature lovers with a lot of things to do in the area.
The apartment is very clean, with many authentic details from the historic mill (we stayed in the new apartment).
Kind and generous hosts.
Will definitely recommend to my friends.

“Another idyllic stay at the Island Mill”
Reviewed 20 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Two years ago we discovered the Lonsdale Mill. A beautiful, out of the ordinary setting on the Salmon River, where we could do our favourite things - kayak, swim, read, relax, and explore. We were excited to try out their new, thoughtfully decorated suite, with private patio, and generous kitchen. We were not disappointed! A place I`d love to retreat to anytime. A unique place. Suzi and Gerry are wonderful hosts!

Thank you for reviewing our new suite, The Miller's Retreat and for letting others know about your experience here. It was a real pleasure to see you both again after staying with us in our Country Suite in our first season. It was great seeing you come down the river in the kayaks while you were here as I know you love to explore on the water. So glad you enjoyed your stay in The Miller's Retreat.

“Luxurious and picturesque, the Miller's Retreat is a quiet corner of heaven”
Reviewed 19 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

What a lucky find... The Miller's Retreat is a beautifully decorated suite, very private, including a stone patio right on the river. The indoor space is luxurious, decorated with artefacts from the old mill, with a well-equipped kitchen and a spacious "spa" bathroom. The property is unique, in a beautiful setting surrounded by river and gardens. Very relaxing place to stay - I did go into Picton for a day of fun shopping, but almost wish I had stayed "home" at the Retreat. I spent five days here and my only regret is that it wasn't longer, I read and watched lots of birds out on the patio, wrote, cooked good meals, and really, truly relaxed. Hosts Suzie & Gerry were friendly and helpful but not intrusive. A great place to stay if you want to spoil yourself away from traffic, noise and distractions.
