We were able to stay for 2 nights last weekend due to a last minute cancellation. The host gave us a generous discount, welcomed us, our daughter and dog, and made us feel right at home. The room was well appointed and the bathroom gorgeous. This is a place that still has that familial feel of B&Bs of old, an inviting atmosphere that prompts guest to linger over (the excellent) breakfast and enjoy each other's company. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay at the Miller's House. We have stayed at many B & Bs, this one makes it to among the top of our list of great experiences. It has everything going for it - a quiet country location, superb accommodations, places to stay outside and sample some great Prince Edward County wine, and a great host, Bob. He made us feel very welcome. He gave us a great lowdown on the place, provided great advice and conversation and made the best breakfast. He also knows the area extremely well, and directed us to a restaurant that was nothing short of fantastic. We stayed in the suite on the main floor. Great furnishings, very comfortable, nice art and very spacious. All in all, this place deserves a 10 +. You can't go wrong here.

This was our first experience staying at a bed and breakfast. Our two night stay at this lovely location has set the bar high for future B&B stays. Bob is a wonderful host and a great ambassador for Prince Edward County. The room was very clean and incredibly comfortable at this wonderful B&B in the quiet village of Milford. Bob was very helpful from providing a gluten free option for my wife, to quickly sourcing assistance the morning our vehicle would not start. The breakfasts featured items from local farms all enhanced with Bob's excellent culinary touches each morning. His imaginative creation of chilled blueberry soup impressed us along with his fresh baked biscuits.
Most definitely a place I would recommend and return to!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Falls Room and found it quiet and comfortable.

So we arrived in Canada to find our luggage was stuck on the plane with no idea when it would be delivered to us. Bob was charming, considerate and most thoughtful in helping us find suitable shops to buy essential replacement clothes and toiletries. It was as if we had arrived at a friends house. His hospitality was generous and his home made breakfasts made a perfect start to the day. As we had to extend our stay in Ontario to await our luggage, we were delighted he could accommodate us. This was a fantastic find and is worthy of the many excellent reviews. Whatever your reason for visiting Prince Edward County, this has to be the place to stay!

Our two-night stay at The Miller's House B&B was such a pleasant experience! The many, many positive reviews are all "right on the money"! On top of the bucolic surroundings, the lovely gardens to sit in, the outrageously delicious breakfast, the company is extremely pleasant...Bob's and the other guests! We would highly recommend this experience and hope to go back sonore than later!

My husband and I recently visited The Miller's House B&B. We enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful gardens and it was a quiet location despite being on a main road. The house is well maintained and our room was large and comfortable. Bob is a very friendly and accommodating host. The breakfast was delicious with homemade biscuits and preserves, and local produce. My husband is a vegan and Bob was able to prepare a truly delicious breakfast for him. All in all it was a wonderful stay!

If you have surfed through the (ten pages of) excellent reviews of The Miller’s House Bed and Breakfast, you will notice that a number of guests make return visits to this charming place. That fact alone should be enough to convince you that if you are planning a visit to any of the beautiful beaches or foodie-centric destinations in Prince Edward County (a.k.a. “the County”), the Miller’s House is the place to stay.

However, you’re reading this review because - apparently - you’d like just a little more convincing, so here are three of my favorite things about the Miller’s House.

(1) The bed linens are exquisite, and dried on a clothesline in the fresh County air. When you go to lie down you discover them, crisp and white, on mattresses and pillows that are of top quality. You’re here to relax and your sleep will be restorative.

(2) Coffee – good coffee! – is on the table every morning at 7:30. I’d suggest you wake up early, grab a cup of java and a book, have a seat in one of the comfy chairs in the garden and listen to the birds singing in the quiet of the morning or, better yet, watch the herons on the pond behind the house. At 8:30 you’re in for a real treat because the ingredients for Bob’s fabulous breakfasts are procured either from his own garden or from the County’s famous organic food producers. Eggs from happy, free-range chickens. Vegetables from Vicki’s Veggies (yes, the same “Vicki” whose famous veggies are sold at the Brickworks and Wychwoods Barns in Toronto). Raspberries, fresh picked. Don’t even get me started on the homemade Buttermilk Biscuits. Yes, breakfast is a treat – homemade jam!!!! - and it’s served in a sunlit room that over looks a beautiful garden.

(3) Bob Cowan, the Miller’s House owner, is not only a charming and discreet host to his guests who come from all over the world; he is a long-term and integral part of the Prince Edward County community. Bob counts among his friends local organic farmers, he’s very knowledgeable about restaurants (you can trust his recommendations), and he’s a long time supporter of the County’s famous wineries (again, you can trust his recommendations) and artisan cheese makers.

If you are looking for a relaxing stay in a tastefully restored, authentic County house, absolutely clean accommodations, delicious food, gorgeous gardens, and an entertaining knowledgeable* host who is deeply committed to his community, The Miller’s House Bed and Breakfast is where you should be.

(I think I’ve just convinced MYSELF to go back in a month!)

* “Knowledgeable” ... I forgot to mention: Bob also speaks Spanish.

Room Tip: Because my husband and I were travelling with my (80 year old) mother, we chose the suite on the mai...
