Elite Grand Hotel Norrkoping

Stayed here for a couple of days before moving on to Gotland. Probably the most disappointing hotel I've stayed in in Sweden and I've been coming here for 12 years. Rooms were only ok. Very hot and no aircon so as a result we had to open the windows. Very noisy streets with drunken people, trams, buses and speeding cars and motorbikes to ensure I didn't sleep a wink either night. I wouldnt mind but its not even a party town and I,ve had quieter stays in stockholm. Weren't allowed use the stairs in this hotel and I hate lifts so this was upsetting. Food in restaurant was ok but service poor with a very dodgy table that felt it would fall over at any time. Overall distinctly average hotel but noisy as hell should have skipped this town and gone straight to Gotland.

Stayed: July 2012

We just came home from a 3 night stay at Grand Hotel in Norrkoping and I would like to say that we enjoyed it. Nice room on the 7th floor, bathroom with a huge bathtub, usually I dont like using a bathtub in a hotel, but this was very modern and it felt nice.
Breakfast was very good, large choice of bread, yougurt, juices and cheese.
The hotel room had a fan.

Room Tip: Choose the deluxe room 741 on the 7th floor

Nice hotel both for business and family. And if you have stayed at any other Elite hotels in Sweden you will be familiar. The rooms are nice, great beds, easy to connect to internet (unfortunately not so common in Sweden).

Room Tip: Room on a high floor is recommended.

Staying there many times in business. An Ok hotel, nothing more nothing less. You choose this hotel mainly for the location. The rooms are pretty old, the elevators even older. Not good parking, you need to find parking yourself, that can be tricky sometimes. As always on Elite, you do get a good bar.

Stayed on business for 2 nights. Room was a good size (corner aspect) with a view over the river but was cold and the heating, whilst coping with the May temperatures, would surely suffer badly in winter! Bathroom a little small and in places needing some repairs, but overall, the room was OK. Would have expected a safe though.

Breakfast had a good range but a little crowded. Didn't try the hotel restaurant: instead went into the pub and the food there was good.

Overall, nothing that stands-out, but a reasonable stop-over and friendly staff.

I stopped at an information boot at the entrance road to the city, and tried 5 places before i ended with Elite Grand Hotel. I called the number on the poster " not all phn numbers worked" and was greated with a friendly and helpful voice welcoming me.
Easy to find (with gps) Grand square, parking in the street, free internet, clean room. I think i'll try more of these Elite hotels.
