“Great hotel, shame about the restaurant”
Reviewed 28 September 2013

Great hotel, location not very central, but within easy from city centre by bus and ferry. Dining experience easily the worst of my life. Terrible service! Speechless... 25 minutes wait to be seated, no acknowledgement, no offer of taking down name and wait at the bar until a table would have become available. Good food, just a shame I wasn't able to taste more of it. It has been 55 minutes since I have finished my main course and my plate was cleared. Nobody has come to see whether I wanted coffee or a look at the dessert menu. I had to look it up online. I have asked for the bill almost 15 minutes ago... Shocking!!! I am about to just walk out.

Relaxed atmosphere, great staff, go out of their way to assist. Top restaurant, The room I had was superb. A giant step to the ferry to take one to the city centre and at the other end of the street the bus to take you the long way round.

All up, I'll be back at this hotel. Nemero Uno!

Oh! , the breakfast buffet was something else, I could have put on pounds in weight.

This hotel is located in a really nice part of the city. The hotel itself is really cool and different. Room was excellent with a great view. Nice and bright/ modern. Big walk in shower. The metro line is directly outside the entrance. Would love to return.

Breakfast was still one of the best yet.

The hotel is not in the city center but it is very easy to get to the city center by ferry, which has a stop just in front of the hotel. The neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet- Great to go for a walk in the evening. The breakfast was very good. The lobby is big and modern and it is nice to go for a drink at the cafe. good value for money

This converted industrial building has been turned into a fantastic hotel - dramatic lobby and great modern, big rooms, flawless decor. We weren't sure about the location beforehand, but found the regular ferry service up the river to the city centre easy to use and always on time. Given how convenient it is, the hotel's a great value alternative to more expensive city centre hotels. Views to the East looking upriver towards the city were excellent. Great hotel bar also, where we had a lovely dinner one of the nights, and service was very friendly. And don't miss the outdoors rooftop hot tub!

Room Tip: Request a room on the upper floors on the Eastern side of the building so you get a view up the rive...

I stayed here for 5 nights on business.....if it were for pleasure and I were paying I would probably move somewhere else.
As many others have mentioned there is a prison like appearance to the interior of the building along with the room doors which drove me mental when others shut them......they are large, heavy and noisy.
The location is brilliant right next to the river with a river taxi stop outside into Gothenburg.
I had previously requested a top floor room as I hate the noise of people above and having looked at photos noticed that the rooms had wooden floors......I had to wait a while on check-in as my room wasn't ready, but the staff were very pleasant and I eventually got my key to a room at the top which came with a large balcony with 2 wooden chairs and table and view over the river. The room is I guess very Scandinavian in other words very basic and uncluttered with 2 small single beds with minute pillows, there was a desk and chair and a dressing area with mirror. The bathroom was a good size with a nice walk in rain shower...the only bathroom products supplied was a shower and sink soap.
Definately in need of tea/coffee making appliances.
The bar/restaurant was on the 6th floor with great views over the river, service was very polite and efficient........but prices (to be expected) were ludicrous....one evening I had a burger and fries, glass of wine and a tiny but delicious dessert.......£38!!!!!!
I didn't indulge in breakfast but from what I saw it was a pretty amazing choice with huge selection of hot and cold.

Room Tip: Ask for top floor which comes with a large balcony.
