If I go back to Gothenburg I am pretty sure of my choice!!! Excellent Location, Good quality sleep, Good service, Good breakfast, Well furnished gym. It is a bit pricey, but this is the price to be paid in Sweden, so, nothing to complain about.

Room Tip: #224, but single room (one bed)

I travel very often to Goteborg for business purpose and Elite Park Avenue hotel is one of my favorite hotel in town. The people have good hospitality, it is clean and well equipped. Moreover it is in the center of Goteborg in the Avenue, so there is always time for a good walk around and relaxing dinner in one of the places.
I really recommend it.

Room Tip: Rooms are always good, but if you like the view on the avenue then you can get it.

Most if not all Elite hotels offer late sunday checkout for their guests so I wasnt too hopeful on getting a new clean room after we arrived early on a Sunday and tried to get checked in just after 12noon .. for our 4 night stay but this wasnt a problem for the hotel!!!
The main receptionist was so helpful and even upgraded us to a large quiet room on the higher floors with great views towards the Liseberg fun park which lit up so nicely after dark. Our room was large, exceptionally clean, had a balcony and was very well presented with nice decor and controllable air conditioning which is a luxury compared to some hotels in sweden. We parked the car in the local small multi story carpark and i must be honest gothenburg is not a cheap place to park and one can spend a small fortune just to park but it was very central so thats why.
The hotels main avenue location is great for shopping and touring the numerous local sights that Gothenburg offers. We were approx less than 10 minutes walk away from Liseberg and Universium and we took advantage and shopped entry tickets to the fun park the day before which meant we beat the usual big queues.
Breakfast was served in a very large room on the first floor and there were additional rooms to eat if the main area was full. Breakfast got busy after 08,30 and guests were notified about this on various notices on the lifts or main areas. The Quality of food at breakfast was very good and supplies were replenished very quickly if they showed signs of running out ..this was one of the better hotels we have stayed at. Eating out or at the hotel was easy with lots of choice on offer which ever direction one went. The Beds were very comfortable and as stated earlier the controllable A/C was great and suited us. If I was to complain about anything .... and this would be so very trivial based on the whole package offered by Elite then it would be an issue why room service attendants dont leave enough toilet paper for guests staying longer than one night. Less than half a roll wouldnt service a normal family and some people might find it embaracing to ask for more .... However I did at the main reception and the receptionist I spoke to personally went discretely to our room and left more plus additional towels for our small toddler which the room attendant had missed. This was good service and as I stated very trivial but it was fixed without any fuss. All in all this is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and I can only say I highly recommend it! Great Hotel!

When approaching this hotel don't be fooled by its bland exterior - the rooms, the restaurant and bar are much more up to date that you could be fooled into thinking. It is quite a walk from the town centre but it is in the Main Street and close to good public transport links. The room was clean and provided all you needed (including free wifi) but the bathroom looked like it had seen better days and was a little dated with an over the bath shower. Breakfast was served in the main ballroom on the first floor and it was very busy, presenting you with the opportunity to get to know your fellow travellers when sharing a breakfast table! The use of the wellness suite was an added bonus with a small gym and sauna, steam room and plunge pool available if you book a time slot at reception. A good, quiet, comfy nights sleep.

We booked a family room, so that our son had his own room (no door though between ours and his).
Rooms are spacious and modern, the service is good.
Breakfast buffet is vast. The only thing, I did not like, is that is takes place (during the summer) in the conference rooms of the hotel. So it gets noisy and not very private - a table for the family alone is pretty much a dream
