I must first point out that this hotel was provided for me by relatives.
This is a difficult review for me , probably because I prefer a smaller intimate hotel arrangement rather than this huge hotel complex of two towers and the 3rd is under construction.
First of all the negatives :-
Extremely difficult / non existent car parking - due to the erection of a 3rd Tower block.
The other two blocks are +/-20 floors high which makes the lift arrangements very difficult at breakfast time and at checkout (especially when you have luggage).
At breakfast you will be sharing facilities with another 300 + people which leads to crowding at drink dispensers.
Food in the restaurant I visited was very average and for a UK traveller I found it and the wine very expensive - though we must remember this is Scandinavia.
The rooms were very clean - functional ,well fitted-out but somehow uninviting and I most definitely did not like pillows which were approximately 35 cm2 (which is half the size of a normal pillow).
Thankfully there were positives - all levels of staff were pleasant and helpful.
Although parking is a definite problem - on the plus side the hotel(s) / towers, are situated on a very busy tram route / cross roads.
Wi-Fi is readily available and free.
Although as I've said the breakfast room will have 300 + people - the selection of food is excellent and there are no complaints from me.
Next time I visit Gothenburg I would examine if there is a smaller hotel arrangement which has received favourable reviews from Trip Adviser.

I often am in gothenburg for business and I Always stay at Gothia Towers. Good service, very nice and clean rooms, quiet, nice view. At Heaven 23, the restaurant at the rooftop you can have a nice 360 view of the city, have a drink or dine, perfect choice the king size shripms. Now they are building the third tower and some of the services such as the spa are not available. Close to the city center with a 10 minutes walk you are at the beginning of the Avenue near the Museum

i had a pleasant stay at the gothia towers. the rooms are modern but quite small and I unfortunately had a room with a very small window and not much natural light.
I had dinner and a drink in the bar on the top floor, very pleasant dining area with magnificent view.
The spa looked amazing but was closed the day i was staying at the Gothia towers.

The room is nice and clean, Perfect for business; free Wi-Fi and good location
Special note to the excellent cocktail bar on the top floor but the service at the ground floor restaurant was a bit slow.

I enjoyed my stay at Gothia towers. For a Swedish hotel particularly, the room and bathroom were large and very well fitted. The service from all staff was efficient, if not overly friendly.

The bar on the 22 floor was a very classy affair, although prepare to pay for that with the prices of drinks. Breakfast was pretty good and offered a variety of options.

Loved the Lego model of the hotel in reception.

Would certainly go back.

We stayed at Gothia Towers for a combined business trip/vacation. It is great for business: free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, excellent breakfast on the 23rd floor, and exceptional staff. The hotel is good for a vacation as well since it is close (within walking distance) to the city center and the tram stop is right outside. At times, the hotel was really busy and felt impersonal - absolutely no fault of the staff - just due to the fact is a large hotel. The restaurant on the 23rd floor is good, and the staff is excellent - great wine suggestions.

I was in Gothenburg for a conference, taking place in the attached Gothenburg conference centre. My 13th floor room was bijou but perfectly functional and comfortable. Free WiFi was very fast, so I could keep on top of things from afar. The breakfast was included and was really excellent, with every conceivable need catered for. I had forgotten my European adaptor, but guest services lent one to me without a quibble. I sampled Incontro (Italian) and West Coast (sea-food), and received the same impeccable, friendly service. Food was very good, without being exceptional. Location is great, with plenty of shopping and dining possibilities close at hand. On my last morning, I strolled into the centre - a 15 minute walk - along wide boulevards, with elegant tall buildings (just follow the tram tracks). Everywhere, I found people to be friendly and welcoming. Gothenburg is a great place!

As other reviewers have mentioned, a third tower is being added, but once inside the hotel, you would never know any building work was afoot. I'm amazed that the hotel needs so many rooms!

If I'm in Gothenburg again for business or pleasure, I'd definitely stay here again.
