I stayed here on business in October 2013. My room was very clean and modern. I had a great view from my bedroom overlooking the city. The bed was nice and firm and the bathroom very clean and looked brand new. Free wifi available. Breakfast very nice with wide choice.

On the whole a quiet, relaxing hotel with a 2 minute walk to the centre

The hotell is located in the center of Göteborg. The room was clean, but rather small. The service was bad, for example, our room was not properly cleaned and despite our complains, the staff didn´t manage to fix it. We ordered room service breakfast one day, but this was only delivered for one person. In addition, when checking out they charged a higher price for the room service than we were told when ordering. The hotell didn´t offer us any compensation.

Service is splendid, but in overall the hotel gets a 3-star because the room is average (nice though to have the possibility to adjust the temperature yourself and the possibility to have free WiFi). Average breakfast, not much fresh fruit, really greasy bacon. All in all a nice hotel to stay in close to Liseberg, Svenska Mässa, Scandinavium and in walking distance from the Central Station. There is even a ICA-supermarket just across the street.

We booked our room as a 'mystery hotel' so got a better deal on price so were perhaps expecting less than other travellers - I guess if we'd paid more than we did we might have been a little annoyed about the things that weren't as great as they could be.

The room we were in had a decent bed but, as the man who checked us in said, they had expected just one traveller rather than the two clearly stated on our booking. It didn't matter so much as the bed was plenty big enough for both of us though a little bigger would have been nice. Perhaps it's worth checking your booking has gone through correctly if it will be a problem if it doesn't.

The room was clean enough, though a bit cramped. If you're planning on spending a lot of time in it it may be better to upgrade to a bigger room. We didn't stay in much so it didn't matter too much to us. Ours was a room with an optional third pull-out bed which may have made the room feel smaller - it certainly would if we'd pulled the bed out!

The bathroom was a bit annoying - it was one of those split bathrooms with only a partial screen and you do end up soaking the entire bathroom floor when you shower - just remember to put a towel down beforehand and it won't be so bad. There were also two different shower-heads: one fixed to the wall that was way too high for a shorty like me, and another that could come off the (lower) wall holder it was in. Shower pressure was good in the lower shower but when shampooing or washing you have to hang it back on the wall while you do it, which is probably how I ended up soaking the floor every morning! Bit of a design flaw.

Others have said the hotel was noisy and hot - both of those things were sometimes true, but could be dealt with. We were in a room facing onto the main road but didn't hear all that much noise as the hotel is set back a little. We had to have the window open overnight as it still got warm despite being September - I didn't get disturbed by the traffic noise outside until the morning, when I was already awake anyway. My other half is a lighter sleeper but just made use of the earplugs we packed in case of noise!

There were builders working on the roof while we were there but they were on the opposite side of the hotel - I guess the hotel were trying to put people in their other wings. If noise bothers you it might be best to ask to be away from the building work.

In terms of location this is a great base from which to explore Gothenburg. Avenyn (shops, pubs and restaurants) is five to ten minutes' walk away, as is the Ullevi Stadium, and it's a ten to fifteen minute walk to the main train station and the city centre. There are some great restaurants nearby, trams and buses are near too. Really good location to get anywhere in the city.

Breakfast was very good, quite a variety and decent quality stuff. Better than a lot of other hotels. We were there midweek and there was no problem getting a table - it may be different at weekends.

The little bar was nice enough and always busy - my other half warns lager drinkers off the draught beer though, apparently not very nice. Best to stick to bottles.

Probably would stay here again, definitely would if they brought in air-con in the rooms, brightened them up a little bit and updated the shower fittings.

Room Tip: Courtyard facing rooms will be quieter, and it will be less worrying to have the window open to cool...

Very nice Hotel. Chosen due to vicinity to Liseberg Amusement Park. Booked a Family room (travelling with our 2 kids) which was great. Very spacious and surprisingly quite room, as main road in vicinity. Kids were "upstairs" in 2 single beds (which was a further attraction). Breakfast adequate and met expectations.
All-in-all very nice establishment, child friendly and as stated ideal for the amusement park.
Definitely recommendable.

Title says it all really. The rooms are small, the bathrooms more so. Cheap and nasty flimsy toilet seat looks like it would snap easily. Poorly made fixtures and fittings in the room as well. No air conditioning so hot all night. Extractor fan in room blowing all the time. The room I had was not very clean with remnants from previous occupants in evidence. Check in staff nice and friendly. I paid about £115 for a single room and then an extra 150 Kr to park my car which is absolutely disgraceful. The room was not value for money

I was happily surprised by this hotel, as other reviews weren't so generous. It is very conveniently located a short walk from the airport coach stop, which is very near the Liseberg amusement park.
The road it's on is quiet despite being quite busy, and the hotel is set aback from the main road and protected by a small garden. The building is 2 story high, so if you are on the first floor you have no-one above you! It was surprisingly quiet considering the amount of families with young kids, I honestly had no clue until I saw them all at breakfast. I walked everywhere during my stay, I found the location of the hotel was just right for my needs. There are a couple of supermarkets on the same road so you can stock up on goods at a reasonable price, and they are open every day from 9 to 9. The breakfast was very good and healthy, with an emphasis on organic foods. It could be quite busy during the week end, when you were advised to have it a bit earlier, and they were right, there were queues for the tables. The staff were very polite and attentive, I would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: On the first floor!
