I'd read this botanical garden was one of the best in Europe, and I wasn't disappointed. It's got its own tram stop, so I was able to get there easily, and although I arrived after the greenhouses closed, there was plenty to see. The garden slopes upward from the entrance, and contains a great variety of mini-ecosystems, ending with a waterfall that has a grotto and tunnel beneath.
The gift shop is also worth a peek- wonderful gifts for gardeners, and some beautifully illustrated greeting cards.
