Because of a mistake made by the hotel, I and my daughter were upgraded to a nice room at the very top of the hotel and facing the river. The room was perhaps a bit small, but we had a ceiling to floor-window which gave us a great view of the river and the city.
We also thought the bathroom was a bit tiny, but as the hotel is brand new everything was in perfect condition.
I would not choose this hotel (or at least not the room we had) if I had to work. There is only one small table so it will be hard to fit anything more than a laptop.
But the bed was wonderful and it was nice to be able to make tea/coffee.
The staff was perfect, everybody were eager to help.
The breakfast was good but not great. Maybe we didn’t appreciate it because it was really crowded during our stay.
We had dinner once and the food was excellent and so was the wine we were recommended.
We also visited the bar one night but I found the service too slow.
If you like running it is nice to go along the river. It is about three kilometers if you run west until you reach the old crane that used to serve the shipyard. I didn’t use the gym but it was small and very basic. We didn’t have time to visit the spa but it looked nice – maybe a bit crowded.
The hotel was situated perfect for our purposes, but it isn’t too bad if you want to visit the city. It is easy to go downtown by ferry (and if you have kids they will probably love it) and it was about ten minutes by bus to the railway station. You can get a card valid for one (75 kronor) or three days (150 kronor) that you use on the ferry, buses and trams. An adult can bring three people under twenty years. It is a good deal.
There was an indoor parking just opposite the hotel. The rate was 60 kronor per 24 hours, which is a very good price in Sweden.

Stayed as a family and I must extend my warmest congratulations to all members of staff who really went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Clean, modern well appointed rooms. Clean, cozy rooftop spa, which allowed young kids during certain times. Fantastic restaurant in terms of food, ambiance and staff. If you are thing of visiting Gothenburg this place will really be something you look forward to in the evening when coming back after taking in the sights!

Room Tip: ask for rooms high up, facing the water...

As a family of 4 we choose this hotel for our weekend trip. We have stayed at several other hotels in the Gothenburg area. So far this is one of the best one. Traveling with small children can be a challenge sometimes, but here the family room had all that we wanted. The kids loved the location of the tv close to the bed. They also admired the special design of the bathroom.
We liked the Bloom children seat in the restaurant and that they got pencil and paper to make drawings. Pancakes at breakfast was also a hit.
Location is quite which is also important when traveling with small children. The room was also soundproof.
Staff all over the hotel was friendly and very service minded.
A design hotel to be recommended.

Great hotel, located in Lindholmen, very close to the university area of Goteborg. The city center is just a a few minutes away by car , or easily reachable by ferry that stops very close.
The hotel is brand new and Beautiful high tech style building, located in front of the darsena. The rooms are very well furnished and stylish, with modernly decorated walls and fashionable furnitures and lamps.
The staff is professional and nice and the breakfast is very good and it is served in the nice and cool bar area.

Absolutely a great choice.

The hotel has been open about one year. It's a typical Radisson, clean and stylish (in this case quite funky). The public areas are open and attractive. The bedrooms are not large, but adequate and again very nicely furnished. The bathroom is small with no bath but a very nice shower. A couple of minor quibbles. There don't seem to be enough lifts, so the wait can but too long. The breakfast food is good, but the eating area is chaotic and not well staffed. It was also expensive, but there was a book fair in town so I suspect the prices were higher than normal. Otherwise, highly recommended.

I had business in one of the office buildings nearby so my review cannot comment on this hotel's suitability for a tourist. For business though, it was excellent. The hotel is at most 6 months old at the time of writing the review. As such, the room furnishings are in great condition and very comfortable. The hotel restaurant is very good too. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of tasty selections whether you have European or American tastes. The dinner menu is a bit limited, but all selections were enjoyed by my colleagues and I.

I have stayed in my share of Swedish hotels in Gothenburg, Stockholm, and elsewhere. I also stay in a lot of Radisson Blu hotels around the world. I don't expect or care about a large, lavish room; especially in Sweden. This Radisson Blu hotel is clean and quiet, and that above all is the most important thing.

My issue is with the furniture and bathroom design.

Living space: the closet is so shallow that I could barely hang 4 shirts, 2 pairs of pants, and a suit jacket. There are no drawers in which to put socks, underwear, T-shirts, etc. I have never been in a hotel room with no drawers before, and it's annoying to have no place except the top of the dresser to put your clean and dirty clothes.

Workspace: almost non-existent. There is no desk, just a tiny round table. If you put your laptop in it, there's essentially no room for a piece of paper to take some notes.

Bathroom: the plumbing equipment is good. The overhead rain shower is especially nice. But the shower curtain extends 4-5 in. (10-15 cm) beyond the recessed tile in the shower floor, and is also around 15 cm above the floor. The result is LARGE pools of water all over the entire bathroom floor after your shower. I was literally wading through it to walk back over to the sink after my shower, and the towel mat on the floor was of course saturated and useless. The floor tiles outside the shower are not laid at angle that would allow gravity to guide the pooled water back to the shower drain. Instead, the water just sits there. If the recessed tile had been made to go beyond the curtain, rather than the other way around, it would be OK. This is one of those things where you have to wonder if the designer actually ever tried using the shower curtain set up before unleashing the design throughout the hotel.

I know some Swedes are tall, and I'm a moderately-sized adult male, but the toilet is hung so high up on the wall that I can only touch the floor with my toes. A typical woman wouldn't be able to reach the floor at all. I know tall toilets are supposed to be easier to get onto and off of, but this is ridiculous. Again, who tried out this design before approving it?

The breakfast was typical Swedish, which I like. The staff is very friendly. In all, it's not a bad hotel, but the attention to detail in the design is lacking a lot, especially for a business traveler.
