“Short visit to Goteborg”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

Visited Goteborg to see another city in Sweden. It was quieter than Stockholm and seemed to have less foreign visitors. It was very pretty. We took the tram to Saltholmen and from there got a ferry to Archipelago. The ferry takes you through the small islands some of which are just rocks. If you go to Brännö you can come off on the on oneside and walk across to the ferry landing on the other side for the trip back to Goteborg. Its a very pleasant walk and there is a nice restaurant located roughly a halfway across.

“A breath of fresh air...”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

We only had a day and a half in Gottenburg. With the weather so hot (30-31*C ) we wished we has decided to take the full day to explore the archipelago. Instead we took tram 11 to Saltholmen, the connecting ferry to Vrango then back to Saltholmen and tram back in to town. Approx 2 1/2 hours.

“My Gothenburg favourite”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

Best things in life are for free? This could actually be the truth in this case. The archipelago is super. And it just cost a tram ticket to island hop. This is the one place I go in Gothenburg if I have to choose one. Favorites are island of Vrångö and Styrsö. Bring a picnic and sim swimming trunks. Don't forget sun lotion and a cold beer on the way back on the boat. Love it! Miss it!

“Beautiful!!”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

Anyone visiting Gothenburg in the summer MUST make a visit to these beautiful small islands!! We spent an entire day on Branno, and we loved every moment. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Branno Vardshus, and we hiked all around the attached island of Galtero' after walking all over the island. Honestly, it was one of the most beautiful small islands we have ever visited, and we have visited many in Croatia, Greece and Italy! Love.Love.Love Branno.
The islands are so easy to reach via ferry from Salthomen at the terminus of tram line 11, and anyone with a Gothenburg Pass or a day pass on the transportation system will find the ferry fare included. Run, don't walk, to The Southern Archipelago.

“Great experience”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

For only €2.50 you get to ride on the water metro that takes you through all of the Archipielagos. It's a 90min ride if you don't get off at any of the stations. If you do decide to get off at any stop, check the schedule to be sure what time you can hop back on. Also check which ferry you take, the don't all have the same route.
You can take a seat on the cafe and enjoy the view on the second floor, or if you are lucky enough find a seat on the dock outside and get a chance to see all of the Archipielagos and houses. It really is an amazing experience.
