The location is dreadful the hotel being in an industrial park. But once inside the staff are friendly and helpful The rooms are small and basic but clean and acceptable The breakfast was good
If we need to use the ferry port to Denmark we would definitely use this hotel again

Hotel is quiet, which is a direct consequence of the situation within an industrial area. Meeting rooms and installations are good and personnel at the desk is helpful. the view on the harbour is interesting also, especially if you make use of the hotel restaurant.

Points not so good :

1) Very far from Gothenburg city center, so taxi would be very expensive to go and have dinner downtown.
2) Rooms are very small, that's fine for just sleep, but not for feeling comfortable and at ease like in a luxury hotel room.
3) Internet access does not allow VoIP through standard SIP protocol, and this is VERY annoying.

Dear Pierre,
Thanks for Your review on Tripadvisor. A Quick response from us:
1. Our location - It´s true that we are located a bit outside central Gothenburg. On the other side are we closer to most companies like Volvo HQ and Port of Gothenburg. We also have a special deal with a Taxi-Company witch gives our guest a lower taxi-fare.
2. Our rooms - Yes, mort of our rooms are quite small. We have some larger room, Next time You visit, please let us know You want a larger room.
3. Internet Access - During Juli we will install a new wireless net inhouse. This will take care of the problems You experienced.
Thank You for Your feedback.
Regards,
Christer Rådeström, Hotel Manager

Location, location, location! And this place did not have it. It is located in a very industrial area, in no way walking distance to downtown. Taxis is Sweden are hellish expensive as the industry is not regulated - meaning, unless you agree to a price in advance you will get a shock. The hotel itself is delicate and perfect for a spa weekend if you plan to stay there the whole weekend. The room (double bed) are very small. The breakfast is massive (fantastic selection) so bring a big appetite!

Needed to be in the location. Very busy hotel for conferences. Yes the rooms are small but I always try to book double rooms even when travelling alone. Staff I found good and helpful and restaurant OK! But if your looking for nightlife wrong location. If I need to be in location again would use the hotel in future.

I can understand the other views on here about the location of this place, but since I have only ever stayed here for business rather than pleasure, the location hasn't been an issue. I have returned to this hotel several times for business and always look forward to it. I find the atmosphere very calming. Some of the bedrooms are very small but others are lovely, with homely touches such as velvet cushions, arm chairs, a kettle and coffee machine. I also very much like the Oceanic room, with its comfortable chairs overlooking the sea. The one thing I do miss is room service - there isn't any. Otherwise, I find this a pleasant, relaxing and comfortable place to stay.

Room Tip: The larger rooms are definitely so much better than the very small ones.

My room was dirty, it was hairy and not clean in the bathroom, it's location is terrible - it's next to an industrial area. The rooms are really small, you can't even have your luggage on the floor - it's no room to open it. Entrance to the SPA costs 395 SEK (and thats just for 4 hours), it's not included in the roomprice, so you have nothing to do if you don't want to pay for it. I will never go back....

I tried this hotel for a coference with a small group. Some of the conference rooms were really nice, but not all of them, and we had to change conference rooms due to noise as they were renovating the hotel. Some of my colleagues tried the SPA, and they were really satisfied. I was not impressed by the food, neither at lunch or dinner. It was actually disappointing. The service was good and we felt really well treated by the staff.
