We ate here on several occasions during a 2 week stay in Aegiali. It was always busy including locals which is a good sign and were not disappointed. The portions were large and the food well cooked. You never expect to be rushed in a Greek restaurant and we did not find waiting to be served took any longer than you would expect. An additional waiter might help as the guy who waited when we visited was always rushed off his feet.

Only ate here once this summer, but had a very tasty meal, with a really good carafe of local house white wine for a pretty cheap price! It is set up above the harbourfront so nice views. The place was packed, but there was a pleasant and unrushed atmosphere, and the waiter was great. Another great meal.

From a big food menu , we have choosen the traditional plates and we avoided international cuisine, so we tasted very big portions of quality food in very good prices.
Situated in the central square of Aigiali, its a nice place to watch and eat, but if you dont like cats, be ready that you will eat together with some of them!

We came here because of a festival was taking place in Aegiali Square, during the first weekend of July and we could watch happenings along with our dinner.
I was looking for a fresh fish plate that day. The only fish was in their menu was mackerel and I asked it on coal.
Greek salad with fresh,Amorgian sour cheese came quickly – have to mention that the restaurant was full that night - but my fish came 1 hour later along with my husband's mousaka, which was a big piece with home-made taste.
The waiter was running to keep clients happy and as a resault that made him nervous and stressed.
I wouldn't go back again.

We have previously visited over twenty Greek islands and are currently in the middle of a three month island-hopping trip. Tonight we have had our worst eating experience in Greece on this or any other holiday. The guy serving (everyone) couldn’t have been less interested if he had disappeared altogether.

We waited over an hour for starters to arrive (and it was very noticeable that Greek customers arriving after us were being served before us) including the bread basket. The starters to be fair were fine, but we then had a further wait for the main course which included “meatballs in the oven” which were so swimming in oil, we almost threw them a lifebelt.

We are more than used to encountering cats in Greek tavernas, but seeing them climbing on the tables and eating customers’ left-overs off their plates is a step too far for us in the hygiene stakes and when the owner is clearly unconcerned about this it made us wonder what the standards in the kitchen are like.

A huge disappointment especially the feeling that no one actually cared whether we had an enjoyable meal. We are staying on Amorgos for a further week and we certainly won’t be going near this place again.
