“A haven away from home”

A very comfortable hotel in the heart of Helsinki right near the harbour/ferry terminals.
Arrived at 7am from 24 hour flight and room was ready - heaven!
Staff extremely helpful arranging my day trip on the ferry to Estonia as well as recommendations for restaurants that night.
Rooms are very comfortable with all the conveniences needed, lovely bed and pillows.
Breakfast was included and very sumptuous, a great welcome to Scandanavia.
Second time I have stayed here and will always come back.

The Haven is perfectly located so that you can walk to all the main sights of Helsinki; harbour, esplanade, museums, market, cafes and shops. The service was excellent from the first moment. We arrived very early from an overnight flight and expected we would just dump our cases and wander for several hours but we were told our room would be ready for us by 9am. London hotels who steadfastly refuse to let you in even one miserly minute before the 2pm checkin time, take note, this is what service is. The hotel itself is a beautiful, boutique hotel. It is so nice to be away from the beige and marble sameness one finds at most high end hotels. The Haven has its own style, blending clean Nordic lines with splashes of warm color. Our room was large and comfortable with a lovely bathroom with a beautiful marine green glass wall and immaculately clean throughout. It is a pleasure to find a properly finished and clean bathroom. The number of top hotels with scummy tile edges never ceases to amaze me but the Haven is gleamingly clean. Like so many others have commented, the beds are invitingly comfortable and perfect for a long slumber. There are so many extra touches to enjoy; the heated bathroom floor tiles, the lovely minted shower gel, the B&O system to play your MP3 through, the array of cushions, the breakfast spread, the lobby with a selection of newspapers and guides. We had a view on to the main street which was fine enough but revealed the only downside of the hotel; despite double glazed windows, the street noise was surprisingly audible. There was also a small but good gym. We loved our stay at the Haven and could not recommend it more highly to others.

very nice located in the city centre. one of the major atributes is the simplicity of the finnish design and at the same time a touch of elegant touch. high quality breakfast

This is a perfectly located hotel in the heart of Helsinki. We spent two nights here, and I wish it had been longer! It's immaculately clean (much like all of Scandinavia) with rather large, beautifully appointed rooms with very comfortable beds. The bathroom was spotless and large as well, with a shower/tub combination that was wonderful for a soak after a long flight.
The staff at hotel haven were incredibly friendly and really helpfull when answering the few questions we had.
Also, the location of this hotel is wonderful, close to the harbor for beautiful views and especially convenient if you're taking an overnight ferry to Stockholm and have to carry luggage to the ship. It's also right next to the market during the day, and at the base of the esplanade so you're really close to great restaurants, bars, shopping, and cafe kapelli, which is an institution in Helsinki and seems to always have a crowd either inside or outside or both. Helsinki is not a huge city for visitors of a few days or so, but this really puts you in the best spot.
If all these things weren't reason enough to stay here, the breakfast was awesome!!! Beautiful covered courtyard if you'd like to sit outside, or a nice dining area inside as well. Coffee and tea immediately served upon entering and being seated at your table. Wonderful salmon, herring, cheese and meat selection, hard boiled/soft boiled/scrambled eggs, fresh juices, yogurts fruit, delicious breads; just really the works.
I would absolutely recommend staying in this wonderful little hotel while in Helsinki!
Also, they have bikes to borrow and a great bar too!

A small-ish and smartly styled property that provides a pleasant respite after touring the city or tending to business affairs. From the outside the building is unremarkable, and there isn't a doorman or bellman to greet you upon entering, but the reception desk is just inside and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. They also double as the concierge. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable with typical amenities; complimentary coffee/tea maker, self-serve mini bar (the usual ala carte snacks and drinks that always seem pricey to me wherever you travel!). It's possible some rooms offer a view, but most seem to simply face the street or their central courtyard, which serves as one of the restaurant's seating areas. I can't comment about the restaurants since we never ate there, but the included breakfast buffet was fairly standard fare with special orders extra. There's a small gym for workouts and bicycles available for guests. The bikes are a good idea since Helsinki is a bike friendly town. Spa treatments are available by appointment in a small treatment room, but there is no formal "spa" per se. All in all it's a very nice and comfortable place to stay with friendly and helpful staff, but it's not a five star property if that's what you seek or expect.

stayed here earlier this year in one of the 'lux' rooms, only stayed 1 night but didn't want to leave! Our room overlooked the harbour and as previously recomended on here we requested a higher level - which is worth it for the great view, room very clean and spacious, hairdryer, dressing gowns & slippers provided, lovely toiletries in modern bathroom. Enjoyed a fine glass of wine & whisky in the hotel bar (amazing choice of alcoholic drinks) in the evening, all staff very helpful. Breakfast good and they were able to provide gluten free items for breakfast. Small underground carpark available for a fee which was really helpful (note the area is a little small if like us you have a big estate car -but it did fit!) Definately would recomend and would like to return one day

Room Tip: higher floor overlooking harbour - great view

We stayed here for business. Two nights. from the start we were welcomed and all the staff had a positive attitude. Lovely room large and comfortable. Nicely decorated and a little too warm is the only complaint. (windows did not open in the room)

Although a non-smoking property there is a smoking area (seated with warm rugs) in the courtyard.

Breakfast was lovely, good selection and very attentive and courteous staff.

All in all a lovely hotel with good staff and a pleasure to stay at.

I would certainly recommend it.
