We had the menu of the day with two starters and one main course with dessert. Great fresh domestic ingredients of fish, duck and rhubarb among others. Nice selection of wines and good attentive service. If you want to experience Finnish fine dining to a modest price this is the place to visit.

Wine tasting dinner for 10 people, with a menu specially created to suit the wines. Excellent inventive cuisine, faultlessly prepared and served, does not get much better than this !

We hurried past Kuu Kuu on Museokatu in order to make our 7:30 reservation. On our way home after our adequate but uninspired meal at Aito, we thought we might have been better served there. From the outside, in any case, the ambience looked head and shoulders better than at Aito where nondescript decor (old Ikea wall lamps, weird mirrors) and broken tiles are the first impression. For some reason, a jumble of crates and boxes are sitting up on a shelf. There's a nice old-looking buffet table that should be exploited.
All of the nordic culinary boxes are ticked at Aito, whitefish and elk and juniper berries and Jerusalem artichoke but there isn't much inspiration or heart and soul that goes with it. Ho-Hum.

Both of us had the 5 course tasting menu, I paired with the wine menu as well. All courses were great, even better with the wines. Highly recommend.

Been to Aito twice and both times food and service have been superb. Both times visited we went with 5 courses chefs menu and wine package and both times no disappointments.
