The entrance and the lobby of this hotel are really stunning. Unfortunately, I guess depending on the room, the atmosphere disappears quite quickly. Our room was in an annex and it felt more like a hostel. The room was small but ok. Breakfast was ok, staff was ok, everything was ok - nothing special. Excellent location though.

The way from the railway station took me around 15 min walking. it is not that far, however Helsinki has many hotels much closer. but the whole area is very nice. The entrance of the building in Modern style (a castle look) is very attractive and the whole reception area is well desined. I took the smallest room, but it was quite enough for 1 person. The room is fully equipted with all nessesary things, including fan and iron. No free bottle of water is offered. The thing I did not like also was internet. It is free but so slow that it is hard to work or to have fun. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. The room is very clean and bed is comfortable and big. There is a good Tai restaurnant right next door. I can recommend this hotel as a hotel with a special, not standard face and good service.

I am really sorry to give only three stars but we didn’t get what we paid for...The hotel is within walking distance from the main train Station, takes maybe 15 min walk, so doable and great. When you arrive it looks fantastic from the outside, like a town castle. Reception is lovely and staff very welcoming. While checking in my husband asked about the room and was told it was small and if we wanted a bigger one then there would be extra €40 to pay. We were expecting a small room then - it was so small that really a couple of people make a crowd... and when one of them is pregnant the crowd becomes a horde. We weren't even able to walk around the bed, and when using a toilet it is impossible to even try and be discreet... In the evening it was impossible to watch any TV as it was so close to our eyes that my eyes watered (normally we don't even care about TV, but being preggy means very tired after all day spent on sightseeing). What was really annoying was that everything in our room had a price tag, like we didn't pay enough already the hotel is trying to get even more cash of you. And the €3 small bottle of water and €12.5 mini bottle of red wine was just ridiculous. The room was cleaned ever day so can't fault that. Bed is nice as it is reclining (why??) however so hard that it kept us awake and we were suffering back pains. I really wish I could say we had a pleasant stay, I mean, really it wasn't horrible or anything, just too small and uncomfortable. Maybe we should have seen the 'bigger' room. We didn't eat at hotel there are few quite nice restaurants around.

The lobby of the GLO Art is just the best - full of Deco charm, with professional (and English speaking) front desk personnel. An easy walk to the old Market as well as to busses and trams, galleries and the port. We walked to our ship taking us to St. Petersburg within about 15 minutes (we're in our 60s.) The small rooms are just that... small ... upgrade if you can afford it and you'll be much happier. Beds were great, TV and internet as well. The breakfast is adequate but uninspired - more fun to take advantage of one of the many cafe's right down the street.

Overall this was a really great stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the common areas are beautiful, and the room was nice, clean and comfortable. Ate dinner at the hotel restaurant the first night and it was delicious. Tried a different place the second night and regretted not eating at the hotel again. (Get the pumpkin soup!) A couple of weird little things . . . There are a lot of added charges, i.e. if you want to listen to music in the room, have speedier wifi, etc. The hot water also ran out really quickly and the shower drained slowly. That's all pretty minimal though. Overall the stay was lovely, and I would definitely book here again.

The entrance and lobby area in this hotel are interesting and beautiful. We found the employees to be friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. We also ate in the hotel restaurant and found that also to be very good. As others have noted, the layout of the rooms is odd. We were on the 4th floor and had to walk into another building--through a drive--and use our key card to get through doors a couple of times. It was rather a long walk and felt odd. Our room was well-designed and spacious enough but the bathroom was again--interesting. The wall between the shower and the room is transparent and you could actually see all the way to the toilet from the room. It bothered us less than we thought it would but it is an unusual design.

For some reason we thought the hotel was an easy walk from the train station. It definitely was not. However, my friend and I were on a long trip staying in 8 different hotels and figured we might have just misunderstood or mixed up this city with another. But--don't expect an easy walk from the train to the hotel. We took a taxi back to the train station and that was not expensive and is a much better plan.

Overall we were glad we stayed at this hotel. It was a little funky but interesting.

It's ok, the stylish is ok, service is ok, cleaniness could be better but you get what you pay. Standart rooms are very, very small. This is a Hotel which you is for younger people who wants to be fancy and stylish. On the other hand you have the same thing like an IBIS, just a little bit more stylish. If you like.
