When we arrived to the hotel, it looked average, nothing too special, like a three star hotel, so not bad at all. Our room was lovely, tile floors, great shower, great view, excellent location, friendly staff, and ressonable prices including a breakfast. HOWEVER we will never ever return. We had read other reviews stating to avoid it,beacuse of a loud club downstairs and boy were they right. Take my advice, if you like to sleep at night in your hotel room, this is NOT the hotel for you. We even specifically asked for a quiet corner room on the top floor, to avoid the noise, but it didnt matter. We got absolutely no sleep (we were so disappointed we ended up trucking across the Helsinki square at 2am as it was Christmas eve and we were on our Christmas vacation 2004 and wanted some sleep!!)on account of the thomping and base rocking the entire building all night long. It was awfel. Do not go here regardless of the price/location. There are other hotels that allow you to sleep at night. We ended up cancelling our reservation and paying a little more to stay at the SAS Radisson, which I highly reccomend over this loud party house.
