If your kids are between 2 and 10 years of age and know the Moomin characters, they will probably have a lot of fun in Moominworld. As for older kids and adults, there isn't much to do besides the beautiful green island that the park is situated in.
Our 4-year-old loved visiting the Moominhouse, hugging all the Moomins, watching the play in the theatre, getting a face painting, running along the little paths in the woods and watching the Moomin characters that are very active in the park (Stinky pranking policemen, Moomins playing summer games etc.). Our 1-year-old loved sitting on the grass and eating dirt.
The food in the restaurants is pretty bad and overpriced. Take your own sandwiches if you can, there are places where you can eat them.
As most of the visitors are families with small children, most places are accessible with prams and wheelchairs. There were quite a few families there with children with special needs (including ours).
