Visited this place, because of some good reviews. From outside the place is not appealing at all, when you get in, it is like jumping back to 90's. The place feels like a cheap gas station cafeteria somewhere in Lapland, but I gave it a try. The Veijo itself was a pleasant guy, that recommended me a fish plate. Almost all dishes are around 10 euros, so the prices are about at the same level as at the market square, where you can find similar lunch stands. The dish was exactly as on the pictures here and for the starter we got a small paper cup of salmon soup. In a paper cup! The salad was fresh, but the fish itself was really basic, as well as the souce and mashed potatoes. You can actually feel, that dispite eating three totally different fishes, they are all fried and roasted in the same oil at the same time. The open kitchen concept, where a guy handles fresh fish and the cash desk at the same time is a non-sense. The place is also very uncomfortable and tables were not clean. All in all, this place is far away from best lunch places in Tampere.
