Åbo Svenska Teater is the oldest theater in Finland, celebrating its 175 years of performance in 2014. I had the opportunity to see musical "the Last 5 years". I enjoyed the evening, altouhg the musical was not anything special. Nothing to remember.
The building itself is very beautiful, in connection to a shopping mall.

We saw this play at the IL SISTINA theatre in Florence Italy, It was the most amazing show with Ted Neeley playing Jesus. It was in English so was great for us to follow and the singing could not have been better.
We did a Sunday Matinee, the price was high but was well worth the 54.00 Euro's per seat

I went to see Jesus Christ Superstar here. The atmosphere in this old building is charming. The cafe is located in the second floor and you can reserve a table there if you don't like queuing,.

Even if you do not speak Swedish, it is worth going there as during a ballet for instance or dance performance. The main hall is modest by its size but as nice as nice as many other European operas. The ceiling and golden decorations are gorgeous. During the intermission, you will be able to enjoy a drink at the magnificient lobby with a nice view on Turku.
Personel is nice and helpful. It has been a pleasant experience. Recommended! :-)

Have now seen Jesus Christ Superstar and their previous production of Les Miserables. Both were really great productions, sung in Swedish but made very accessible. I had a ton of fun. Well worth a visit.
