We hade the oppurtunity to visit and listen to some great music from some local stars! The whole composition was a attribute to Erna Tauro and her great composition to among other Moomi and other stories and songs written by Tove Janson. She has definitely enriched the musiclife in Finland a lot! The seting where superb and the lighting and acting balanced with the story in a great maner!

I went to see a play called "Stormskärs Maja" which is about a woman living in rural conditions in the 1800s. The show was touching and also funny, and especially the lead singer (Maja's role) had an incredibly beautiful voice. The interiors of the theater are beautiful and the majestic charm of this place makes the night particularly special. Would recommend to everyone. (Lyrics also seen in Finnish, although the plays are in Swedish)

Åbo Svenska Teater is really an old charming theatre in the center of Turku. This time I saw the musical stage-setting version of Stormskärs Maja. I have seen many versions of this play, but this is something special; playful and moving.
Åbo Svenska Teater is a Finland-Swedish theatre in the city of Turku in Finland and the oldest theatre in the country, founded in 1839. The building itself is also the oldest still functioning theatre house in Finland. The name means "The Swedish theatre of Åbo"; Åbo is the Swedish name of the city of Turku.

Centrally located and easy to find theater in historical building with old time charm and harmony in surroundings, high level theater plays. They also have a full bar with live music and shows for smaller audiences occasionally.
