“Good hotel, beautiful gardens, pool & Beach”
Reviewed 8 October 2010

wonderful holiday, beautiful weather, the gardens fabulous, very clean everywhere. The food was typical hotel food, you can each as much as you want. I did not like being on the ground floor as there was no view except for the car park. The public were allowed to use the pool and beach and bars for a fee, but this did not spoil the holiday. There was no trouble. If I go again I would request a higher floor. Not too impressed with Direct Traveller as we were caught up the Turkish Airline problems and had to stay extra day at another hotel and travel back from Larnaca and dumped back to Birmingham instead of Manchester. Company said they would pay the extra cost in getting home. All lies and the insurance wouldn't pay out either, so it cost us a fortune on top of the original cost.

What a fantastic find! Came here for a week and wished we had booked for two. We had a comfortable room but it was just a little worn, but the public areas have recently been refurbished to a high standard. In fact we prefered this hotel to the Royal next door. The sea facing rooms are worth having overlooking the private beach, the oversized pool and the mountains. Staff were always polite and seemed happy. We only booked bed and breakfast which was always the same but always good with many choices. On our last night we ate in the hotel which was buffet style and also excellent value (20 euros) per head. On the downside the minibar could have been restocked on a daily basis! You have to ask everyday if you needed this service. If you do decide to stay at this hotel don't expect noise and distraction as this is a quiet and respectful place where book readers, sunworshippers and swimmers can relax and enjoy the quiet pace of Northern Cyprus. We enjoyed sitting on the private beach (please be aware that there are a lot of steps to get to the beach!) but when you get there it was definately worth it. We even fed the fish out of our hands - just wonderful.

Dezizkizi Royal Excellent locaction, clean swimming pool, safe beach in a cove, great buffet meals - half board worth taking - varied choice. Evening meal on huge patio over looking the bay. Staff pleasant through out.

The noise seems to have been sorted out - no noise even at weekends. would definately stay again.

Not happy with Direct Travellor the agent I used - see seperate review.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Deniz Kizi Royal hotel (the first time was in Sept 2009) although my parents are on their 17th visit since 1997! There is the original Deniz Kizi Hotel that has just had the lobby and dining rooms refurbed (re- opened on 01st June) and the newer hotel the Deniz Kizi Royal. Both hotels have excellent sea views and all rooms have their own balcony. The suites are perfect for a family with children and very spacious. The food is great although it can be a little repetative after 2 weeks but I think its really the place itself that you go for. The pool is huge and is very rarely busy. the beach can get quite crowded at weekends or when its school hols but thats to be expected. The rooms in the DK Royal are all light and airy and very clean albeit a little dated. I would really recommend this for someone who just wants to chill out during the day and have a nice eveing meal on the terrace overlooking the beach but not for people who want the nightlife.

The staff are second to non here in my opinion. I work for a travel company and have been lucky enough to stay in some fantastic places all over the world. The staff at Deniz Kizi really look after you and the owner Niyazi is always around if there is a problem.

This hotel is a must for anyone staying in Northern Cyprus!

Just spent four days there and it was a delightful time. The price was reasonable, the staff was friendly, the rooms all have excellent views, the food is good and the ability to just relax excellent. The seaside and the poolside are both very pleasant. Hope to get to go again.

We were advised to go to the Denizkizi by a friend who had been there last year. So we decided to give it a try and booked a room in the Denizkizi Royal. We asked for a transfer from the airport. Although our plane had some delay our driver was waiting for us when we arrived. He was friendly and helpful. When we arrived at the hotel we were astonished by the beautiful setting and amazing surroundings. The hotel is the shore overlooking a beautiful bay and pool. The staff gave us a warm welcome and our room was very clean and the view was great. We felt at home and well looked after. The dinner was served on the terrace of the other hotel and offered a large variety of local foods. The service was excellent although some staff were not too fluent in English which is normal.
We stayed for 10 days and fully enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel offers a diving school and various watersports and has a big swimming pool for those who do not want to go swimming in the sea. I strongly recommend the Lamb in the well to those who like lamb ofcourse. Despite the heat, it is a feast and a must for every tourist staying at DK. After 10 days we flew back home with a nice tan and a big smile on our faces (although we would have wanted to stay another week)... We will definitely be back next year.

The Denizkizi Royal is a very nice hotel indeed - rooms are large and comfortable, the semi-provate beach offers watersports and free loungers and the pool is great. It is also very reasonably priced, the food is as you'd expect and the terrace for dinner is a real treat. The air-con in the rooms works well, which is essential as the waether in August is stiflingly hot. Although the hotel is close to the main road (in common with every other hotel, it seemed), the noise is not intrusive. It is about 10 minutes from Kyrenia which, to be frank, is not up to much and seems to be in danger of being overrun with British tourists. In summer, you can only reallt relax as it is too hot to do anything else, and Denizkizi Royal is good for this.
