we booked the studio as it was ensuite and we thought it would be handy to be able to make a cup of tea etc as we arrived fairly late at night. very nice and well equipped. breakfast supplied in the studio, enough to make a packed lunch as well as have breakfast. nice friendly owners. very handy for the airport (short drive).

Room Tip: we took the studio because we wanted an ensuite bathroom. the rooms in the house are shared bathroom.

We stayed at the A. Bernhard B&B our first night and last 2 nights of our trip..We first stayed in the studio which is decorated in contemporary modern and very well done.it's smartly functional. breakfast is left in the fridge to help yourself. Rooms in the main house share a bathroom (again, all tastefully decorated) with breakfast upstairs in the main living area. It's less than a 10 minute drive to the airport.. look for the roundabout with the square clock on the main road in keflavik, turn on the first left, the B&B is on the left with a parking lot across the street. Don't let the plain exterior of the house fool you, inside, you feel like you are staying with friends!

Room Tip: Even though the studio is for 4 (1bed and 1 foldout couch) and costs more, it's more private with your own bath

This is a lovely guesthouse with wonderful owners and Keflavik is a cute place. We stayed here the night before our flight back and it was a perfect end to our holiday. Delicious breakfast and the best coffee I have ever tasted in Iceland!!
Thank you both of you.

My husband and I had a great stay at A. Bernhard Bed and Breakfast on our brief stopover between Barcelona and Washington, D.C. We arrived at 2am and they were very accommodating about waiting up for us. The room was clean, spacious, and attractively decorated. The hosts provided a carafe of ice water and nice fluffy robes to wear to and from the communal bath. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, and the owner even gave us a ride to the Blue Lagoon when it turned out we had missed the bus (it was Sunday and there were fewer). Very nice people and a highly recommended place to rest if you have an overnight layover in Iceland, as we did.

We rented the studio apartment. It was attractively furnished and very clean. Lots of little extras like CDs and DVDs, fluffy bathrobes, black-out curtains, plenty of dishes in the kitchenette, and patio furniture outside. Loved how they'd stock our refrigerator with breakfast food each day so we could eat whenever we wanted in the morning. Separate building so very quiet and peaceful. Private bathroom, parking space, free wi-fi. Short drive from the international airport. Owner was even nice enough to give us a ride to the airport one morning to pick up our rental car.
