“The best in our Tour”
Reviewed 25 September 2013

Room was comfortable and spacious. Grand view of the fjord and harbour.
Breakfast was good.
We had an evening meal and it was one of the best we had in our 12 day tour.
Would definately return here again.
Staff very friendly - reception ran the restaurant also.

We stay 2 nights in a good sized room with great views over looking the Fjord. Isafjordur is a great little town and a must see when touring the area. The hotel is well maintained clean and has its own onsite parking. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast and evening meal were very good. Would stay here again.

We stayed here for one night as part of our 2 week Iceland trip. The hotel was nice and modern looking, and the lady on reception was very friendly, and told us some nice places to walk to near by...
Our room was bright modern and clean, looking out to the sea and mountains...
I did have to go downstairs about 10pm to complain about the noise from the conference/dining room right underneath our room, loud voices, banging, music, and general furniture moving was very loud and annoying, they were apologetic and it soon stopped.
Breakfast was the usual things you expect, bread, cheese, ham, pastries...the too older people who were possibly the owners/managers were very miserable and I never saw a smile, not very welcoming...
Nice place to stay, restaurant was very expensive...and restaurant was very fishy smelling!! Bit off putting for me to be honest..
We ate at Edinborg restaurant the food was excellent and the owner was a nice chatty and very polite man.....I would recommend there!

We are on a one month Iceland tour, having been here two years ago for two weeks. All our arrangements were made by Nordic Visitor as part of a self drive tour, so, we don't know the specific prices for accommodation. Nordic Visitor, in their tour packages offer three types of accommodation and we booked comfort accommodation (private bathroom, "nice" hotels & guesthouses), breakfast is always included. This will be one of many reviews for this trip.

We stayed here the first time and this is a well run small hotel in the Westfjords. On both visits we had a stay overlooking the harbour and the view is spectacular. The room is not tiny, a couple of chairs a desk, very comfortable bed. They did our laundry (for a small fee) and at 10 days into our trip this was a necessity. I've never seen a laundromat in Iceland. Breakfast like all places is good and typical. Some variations from place to place but nothing poor or extraordinary here in the breakfast. I'd come back without hesitation.

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain/harbour view.

Arrived late Saturday afternoon and staff jumped a getting us into our room. They were very informative on stores open around town. Elevator was quick and large. Room was large and well ventilated. Wifi worked very well and fast as well. Breakfast was extensive and kept well stocked.

Room Tip: 4th floor rooms on west have nice view of harbor

For good or evil is a standard hotel. this is a cube-shaped building on the central square of the city. Nice view of the harbor and surrounding mountains but nothing impressed us. In the nearby there are plenty of parking and a supermarket. Staff gave us a voucher for dinner but we preferred to eat in a more characteristic restaurant. Breakfast is standard too.
