“Something special”
Reviewed 10 July 2014 via mobile

A walk in Reykjavik city must also be accompanied by the walk on waterfront to witness this sculpture. It has something which makes it feel different. Really impressive.

Noticed this sculpture on the harbour as we drove into Reykjavik. Beautiful simple sculpture. Easy walk from centre of town.

“Drove past it in the cab”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

Ticked that off my list very easily. Looks fine, but if pushed for time I really can't recommend adding this to your list of attractions to visit. Its a sculpture that overlooks the sea that has some historic meaning. However, if your're along that way its really nice to see.

“Excellent photo spot and easily accessible”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

Solfar is an excellent place to take photos (against the sea and the distant mountain). It's very near to harpa concert hall (within walking distance) and along a prominent highway. There's a small carpark that allows for parking just beside the sculpture. In short, one of the MUST place to visit while in reykjavik as it only takes a few minutes to visit.
