Very close to downtown Reykjavik, the #14 bus stop is right out the door. Recommend getting the city pass (we did 48 hours) which includes municipal bus travel and pays for itself with a couple museum visits. Also the public pool/spa at Laugardalslaug is within walking distance and included in the city pass (otherwise the pool is only the equivalent of about $9 USD). Siggi's dad Olafur and brother Johannes were very helpful in getting us oriented to the house and were excellent hosts. Olafur guided us to a "cheap" but nice supermarket. Iceland is expensive so it was nice to eat at home. The house has several balconies offering great views of the mountains. It has a great living room where 8 of us adults were comfortable, though the house is really for 7. We loved it!!
It was a wonderful visit, the house is beautiful; clean, cosy rooms with all the facilities, the host extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Reykjavik!
