This Free Walking Tour was the first thing we did while in Reykjavik. We decided to give it a try based on what we heard at the Visitor Center. We were also looking for something to keep us moving because we were doing our jet lag antidote which is to stay up until normal bed time.
The whole thing takes about 90 minutes. Our guide Lolli was an interesting character who interspersed good historical information with a look at politics and how Icelanders view themselves and the world. We enjoyed the whole thing. At the end he passes the hat (it's free after all) and we were willing to put some money in it. It was fun. It was informative. It is time well spent.
