Owner description: Volcano House is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the heart of Reykjavik. This is the place where one can learn about the Icelandic volcanoes by watching high quality film that were created for the Volcano House. Moreover, there is a great lava stones collection, souvenir shop and the collection of arts from famous Icelandic artists. We pride ourselves with of our multilingual staff many of whom have studied geology and so can add to the understanding of our customers.

Called in here before our whale watching tour for a coffee. Served with a piece of lava chocolate biscuit. Great. Free refills. Friendly staff. We didn't have time to see the show, but did have a quick look at the inside mini museum. Great if you like rocks! :)

A nice place for a cup of coffee and a warm, on a wet and windy day. Really interesting display of rocks, information about volcanoes, and even a film if you wanted it.

The serving staff are very friendly and produce inexpensive large cups of coffee or soup. There is retro but comfortable sitting whilst you wait to go and watch the film of previous Volcanic eruptions.

Small but nice - they are showing various movies about past erruptions on Iceland. Spent the 1 hour - you might like it.

A great cafe with free wifi, good coffee, I would recco the delicious lamb soup, with good crusty bread. To cap it off there was a really informative display of rocks and information and about volcanoes. Thick chunks of apple pie and great cobs of chocolate cake.
