I just got back from Iceland couple of days ago. This tour is a totally new experience for me as it was a private tour led by Jon. He is very accommodating & knowledgable. I enjoyed the awesome scenery/landscape and the natural unspoilt beauty all around me. I was totally amazed at the vastness of the place - uninterrupted beauty all the way. Thru Jon, Carmen & I had a first hand knowledge of geography & history. I also especially liked the small and quaint village churches. It was so serene and peaceful and one feel so near to God. I will definitely return to this wonderful place as there are still many beautiful places to be explored. My friends are already very impressed with the country and they would also like to visit soon.
Will certainly recommend this private tour with the wonderful guide Jon to friends who want to know leisurely enjoy the beauty of nature all around.
Once again thank you Jon for a very good experience of your beautiful country. Kudos to you

I was in Iceland for 11 days with three fellow travellers in May. It was a wonderful trip with a comprehensive itinerary. Jon was really friendly. He also knew the best locations for the best views, and timings for the best shots. He never rushed us, or told us, "You have xxx minutes here." Many times he was as excited as us by the landscape. The trip was partly geography lesson on the go too! It was great having the flexibility to drive out again at 10pm just to catch the sunset over the mountain; or to stay out at the glacier lagoon having a barbecue dinner while waiting for the sunset. Definitely recommended.

We just completed a full 10 days with our guide Jon Fridgeir Thorisson. I was a little apprehensive to be so far away from home but he put our minds to ease by being absolutely approachable.

Apart from being very knowledgeable about the finer details on the attractions such as the best times and best locations, Jon was also very willing to accommodate to our requests. He was also honest and had integrity, he was genuinely interested in giving us the best experience in Iceland.

We had such a great time and saw many amazing sights that we otherwise would not have with another group.

Highly recommended!

My wife and I decided we'd have to see the Northern Lights at least once in our lifetime and after much research decided in February of 2013 that Iceland was the place to go to. Two friends wanted to join us in our quest to see the Lights and we booked several tours with BR Tours. We landed in Keflavik and chose to stay at the Northern Light Inn, aptly named. Only 5 minutes away from the Blue Lagoon we decided this was the place we wanted to be.

Jon (our guide) was wonderful and met us at the hotel to discuss our tours and what we wanted to do and see. He was friendly and attentive to our needs and wishes. He went out of his way to organise a tour that suited us, being an "older" group who didn't want too much physical activity we were very comfortable in his 4 wheel drive which he used to run us up and down the south coast of Iceland.

We were so lucky and out of the 7 days we were in Iceland we saw the Lights on six nights! it was a truly breath-taking experience. As we were all interested in food as well he took us to a cod fish processing plant and several good restaurants to try the native fare. We stuffed ourselves on langoustines at almost every meal. The lamb was very good too.

Just to show how friendly and helpful the Icelandic people are I tripped over some lava rocks on the very first morning we were there and cut my shin badly. It was only 7am but the hotel put us in their van and drove us to the nearest hospital half an hour away only to find they wouldn't be open till 10am. When Jon arrived at the hotel to discuss our tours he kindly took us to the hospital in Reykjavik to have me stitched up! What good service!

All in all we fully recommend using BR Tours to organise your sightseeing as well as Light chasing when in Iceland. And the Northern Light Inn is really a good place to see the lights despite being so near the geo thermal power plant. We saw the best Light displays from the carpark of our hotel! And they buzz your room when the Lights start dancing so you can rest in the warmth of your room and just wait for the call.

We were in Iceland from March 9-13. With the tours canceled on Monday due to inclement weather are plans were scuttled. Luckily I was in touch with Jon over email and he was available to take us on a tour of the south coast the next day. The south coast tour was a must for me and I did not want to be confined to a bus to see it. Jon gave us an excellent tour taking us to where ever we wanted to go. We saw countless waterfalls, under one and behind another. Saw the crashed US navy plane, had close ups to horses as well as many other photographic opportunities. I highly recommend taking this tour if you are not renting a car or if you want to avoid the bus. Jon was very helpful and catered to all of our requests and made it an unforgettable tour.
