We stayed here one night. Although the area surrounding the hotel is a bit of a building site, the hotel itself is spotless, the staff very obliging and it's very convenient for the main shopping and eating streets in Reykjavik. Would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: An upgrade gets a kettle in the room and a balcony with an amazing view.

I accidentally left money in our room on our departure day. I emailed the hotel to ask if by any chance any sterling was handed in. There was. Within two days it was posted to me. I cannot thank the staff of the hotel enough.

We stayed here for one night only, during a longer trip in Iceland.

The hotel is of a modern contemporary design, and is situated about 15 minutes walk from downtown Reykjavik. The location is not attractive at all, but then Reykjavik is not a particularly attractive city anyway.

Rooms are simple but adequate, which seems to be the Nordic way. Plenty of power sockets to charge camera batteries and phones etc, but, annoyingly, not while you are away from the room, as you need to leave your key in a slot for them to operate. However, reception happily plugged in our charger while we went out.

Reception staff were particularly good - very helpful booking a restaurant, and helping with excursions and directions. Equally helpful when we returned a few days later, not to stay, but simply to be picked up for a tour.

Breakfast was below the usual standard for Iceland, with queues and many items not being replenished promptly.

Room Tip: Some rooms on the front of the hotel have small balconies.

I have no bad words for this place! Loved the staff, they did whatever you asked them to do! The breakfast was small, but the hot chocolate made up for it! Beautiful. The bar in the evening was great; massive range of drinks. Lift's were fast, the location was nice, and the view from the upgrade we got (12,000ISK) was fantastic! We loved the shower, it was amazing; I need one in my house. Not tucking in the beds was a massive plus! FINALLY a hotel understands what we want!

Safe to say, I will be coming back here in the future!

Room Tip: Get an upgrade. Cheap and worth it!

Had the opportunity to stay here while on a recent tour of Iceland. The first night stayed on the third floor which was great. The next time my room was on the second floor and facing the street, which I would recommend to avoid if it's at all possible if you're a light sleeper. Totally love the comforters although I'm not accustomed to not having a top sheet. It’s also seems that they don’t use facecloths so if you want one, bring your own. So if you’re looking for a comfortable place to sleep and you can walk to some fantastic restaurants, then this is the place to stay. The front desk folks are the nicest people, and a great breakfast too!

There was construction beginning in the adjacent lot but unless you plan to sleep during your holiday it shouldn’t be a problem. There are so many wonderful and beautiful things to see and do in Iceland – enjoy – wish I was heading back soon!

Room Tip: Stay on the third floor or above.
