I was treated so well. It was really a surprise and a bonus to be allowed into my room long before check-in due to an early arrival. The front desk staff was so polite and kind and they are really what made my stay so pleasant. Great breakfast, too. Love that you have the egg soufflé as opposed to just hard-boiled eggs like most other places and the waffle iron is a plus! Great coffee, nice rooms although the showers and bath space are a little cramped.
Also, the fact that even tho I was checked out, I was allowed to leave my bags to go exploring. Very accommodating, very kind.
Thank you.

We stayed at Fosshotel Lind for 2 nights during our tour of Iceland. The hotel was clean and the rooms were as you would expect for this kind of hotel - basic but clean and had all the facilities you need for your stay. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, with one guy, Thor, really going out of his way to help us with rearranging a tour that was postponed. All the staff, however, were so friendly and happy to help. Breakfast catered for everyone, with tons of choice. The hotel was located near to a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants.

Me and my friend stayed here for a 3 night break from the 10th March - I had booked this hotel based on previous trip advisor reviews and we were not disappointed.

The hotel is wonderful. Ok, I admit when we arrived late at night the outside of the hotel looked abit 'shabby' but it just goes to show that you should never judge a book by it's cover because the best thing about the hotel is the location and not to forget the staff!

Location is approx 2 mins walk away from the main streets with restaurants, shops and bars which is ideal. The staff are so polite, friendly and helpful and they really made our holiday what it was! We cannot praise them enough!

Yes the rooms are small and basic but it was just enough for our mini break away - the room had free Wi-Fi which was brilliant and the food for breakfast had a wide variety and was very tasty. The bathroom is more like a wet room but again this did not bother us. We were hardly in the room because we was out exploring on trips.

Reykjavik Excursions are a brilliant tour company to book trips with - again efficient and friendly. They took us to the Blue Lagoon which is a must and we were lucky enough to see The Northern Lights on our last night in Iceland (I honestly thought we had no chance of seeing them because of the cloud coverage when we travelled and our previous tour had been cancelled because of this but these guys know what their doing! They took us south of Iceland and despite the cloud cover report online we managed to see the lights in all their glory! Amazing and unforgettable!!)

Overall an unforgettable break away and I will defiantly be returning to Iceland and this hotel. If I could I'd go back in a heartbeat. Thank you to all the staff again at the Fosshotel Lind - you are a true credit!

Stayed here for just one night during a tour of Iceland. No issues at all, staff were helpful and friendly. Wifi in room, breakfast was good. No complaints. It's just like a typical premier inn type hotel. Would happily use it again :)

My friend and I stayed at the Fosshotel Lind for 5 nights at the start of March.
The hotel room was quite basic but clean with tea making facilities, hairdryer, tv on the wall. Breakfast, served in a basement room, was varied and regularly refreshed. The hotel is brilliantly located, about 5 minutes walk from the main streets with lots of restaurants and shopping, and there is a really good bakery a minutes walk from the hotel. I can't sing the praises of the staff more: they were always friendly and helpful no matter the time of day. The day when the tour we had arranged hadn't turned up at the allocated time to pick us up, the staff were on the phone to the company finding out where they were. They made sure everyone going on tours got on the right buses and no one was left behind. They were also good at checking the weather for us and giving us tips on where to visit, the staff really made the stay at the hotel worth while. Another good thing: free parking at the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that isn't opposite the lift. Our room was directly opposite and you get constan...

My friend and I have just returned from a 4 night stay in Reykjavik staying at Fosshotel Lind. We really enjoyed our stay. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was simple but clean. Only negative was that the bathroom was set out like a wet room which meant the the bathroom floor would be wet or several hours following a shower. The buffet breakfast selection was also good.
