One of the best values at a modern hotel we could find in Reykjavik. The online pictures do not show well the small size of the rooms. With only two people with one large and one small luggage each, it was quite cramped. Internet (over WiFi) was intermittently unavailable and slow when it was available. Only one physical(!) key available for the room. The lock was quirky and took some jiggling and pushing both to get in and to get out (a hazard in an emergency). Worst part was the small bathroom where the entire floor got wet from the shower by design -- maybe this is the standard in Iceland? Could be a disaster if you don't know, luckily my spouse noticed it before we used the shower -- I had my bathroom bag on the floor because the bathroom was so small there no where else to put it. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good breakfast buffet for an extra charge; expensive, but everything is very expensive in Iceland. Excellent blackout curtains, important since we visited near the longest day of the year, with less than 3 hours of "night". Overall the *relatively* good price overcomes the negatives, but be prepared for the negatives.
[I'm used to staying at U.S. hotels like Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn, so I don't know if my expectations were too high compared to typical Iceland hotels.]More
