After arriving like two snow trolls coming back from a day trip, we where happy to be welcomed by friendly staff, spacious rooms and a big comfy bed.
If you came to Reykjavik for the daytrips and excursions I would advice this as the place to be, ok it's not in the centre of the buzz, but there's a great park with geothermal baths around the corner and the hotel itself is perfect for pick ups and such.
We stayed here during our last 3 nights and it was a perfect place to relax after a windy south coast adventure.

My partner and I ended our stay in Iceland with 3 nights at the Park Inn. We had a lovely large room with a view and very comfortable beds which was wonderful after a long day of winter adventures outside the city. We enjoyed the good service, warm and friendly staff who were very helpful and made us feel at home. We didn't discover the extensive and delicious breakfast until our last morning, unfortunately. We had a wonderful stay and intend to return!

We (family of 5) had an extremely spacious and comfortable double and triple rooms for four nights in February. I had originally wanted a city centre hotel which was full so I chose the Park Inn for equivalent cost to the hotel I originally wanted. I knew when I booked that it was not in the city centre (we managed to walk it in 25 minutes) so it was located where I expected. On arrival we were very pleasantly surprised at the room sizes which were spacious and very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was excellent (although the 'hot' food was luke warm rather than hot) and the reception staff were incredibly helpful. We might have been allocated superior rooms because we had coffee and tea making facilities and it was specified that these were only in superior rooms; however, I did not specifically book a superior room. There is supposed to be a nightclub next door but this seemed to be closed when we were there and the hotel is located in a very quiet area. We would be very happy to stay there again and are happy to recommend it.

Dear guest,
Thank you for your nice and detailed review. I am so happy that you chose to stay with us and that the services met your expectation or even exceeded them.
You are right that you and your family stayed in superior rooms. They are the ones that are suitable for families as they are more spacious and have a sofa bed.
Again thank you and we are looking forward to welcoming you on your next visit!
With very best regards from the entire team,

Stayed at the Park Inn as part of a short package break, which was our first visit to Iceland. We didn't arrive at the hotel until after 9pm but received a warm welcome and were checked in quickly. There were four of us in the group and we had one twin and one double room on the fourth and seventh floors respectively. The rooms were large, comfortable, warm, clean and had everything needed for a short stay. The bathroom was clean but didn't seem to have an extractor fan, therefore steam from shower slow to clear. The bed was comfortable and even though the duvets looked quite lightweight these were very warm. The room on the seventh floor had the most fantastic views, which were quite mesmerising. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice of hot and cold fayre, coffee and juices. The restaurant never seemed busy and food was always fresh and well stocked. The staff were all pleasant and helpful, directing us to local restaurants for evening meals and arranging taxis to the town centre. Good range of leaflets covering local information/tours etc on display in foyer. Useful to have wifi, which worked well. The hotel is quite a way from the town centre but if you like somewhere a little quieter this is perfect. All-in-all a fantastic introduction to the beautiful Iceland. Loved the hotel, the Icelandic people and the country itself. Already planning our visit for next year. Thank you!

Room Tip: Seventh floor seems to have the bigger double/family rooms and certain ones have terrific views - 70...

Booked for my partners big birthday celebration and was a little disappointed with the hotel. Much of this was my own fault as i was under the impression i had booked the Radisson Blu hotel so was expecting city centre and a bit of luxury. To be honest the hotel was basic, clean, well furnished and had fabulous views of the city and mountain range but could do with updating. Our check in was smooth and fast, we even were upgraded to the top floor just because my partner asked, so we were very pleased with this.
Not an awful lot to do when outside here, we took a taxi into the city centre, who took us the longest route into the city! Breakfast ok, plenty of choice. Safe in room was free, which was a 1st!
Free wifi which worked perfectly.
Comfortable bed but with 2 single duvets as is the Scandinavian custom but strange to Yorkshire folk :) didnt seem very thick but kept us lovely and warm.
Kitchenette in room with tea & coffee facilities, no milk though.
Just a little to far outside town.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade, we got one :-)

Excellent check in - was allowed to check in mid morning after early flight. Hotel had everything as advertised. Only disappointment was restaurant not open in winter - but plenty of restaurants in the vicinity.
